José María Ramos de León, better known as Joey de Leon (born October 14, 1946) is a Filipino comedian, actor, and television presenter. He hosts the noontime variety show ''Eat Bulaga!''. He is a member of the comedy trio Tito, Vic and Joey that has made several comedy movies and TV shows. As a songwriter, de Leon has penned songs including "Ipagpatawad Mo" (Forgive Me), "Awitin Mo, Isasayaw Ko" (Sing and I Will Dance), "Boyfriend kong Baduy" (My Geeky Boyfriend), "Iskul Bukol" (School Lump).
Prior to being an entertainer, de Leon earned his architecture degree from the National University in Manila. He was also a disc jockey for 12 radio stations when he was starting out.
Joey de Leon has five children. With first wife actress Daria Ramirez, he has two children, Joseph Joachim (Keempee) and Jacinda Myrtle. He married actress Eileen Macapagal. Their union produced three children, Jocas Eightria, Jako and Jio. De Leon also has three grandchildren from eldest daughter Cheenee and one granddaughter from Keempee.
Although Tito, Vic and Joey started their trio via ''Discorama'' and ''Student Canteen'', it was the sitcom ''Iskul Bukol'' that gave them nationwide fame as comedians. Soon after, other TV and movie producers came knocking on the trio's door. In 1979, Tito, Vic and Joey started hosting for the noontime show ''Eat Bulaga!'' which was pitted against the more established ''Student Canteen'' hosted by their former colleague (and now competitor) Bobby Ledesma. Not long after, ''Eat Bulaga!'' toppled ''Student Canteen'' from the ratings.
de Leon's films include ''Starzan''.
de Leon did several TV shows for GMA Network and ABC. In 1995, he made a movie comeback via the comedy ''Bangers'' for Viva Films as well as ''Pipti-pipti'' , ''Ang Tipo kong Lalake'' and ''Takot ako sa Darling Ko''. He hosts ''Eat Bulaga'' which is now the longest-running TV program in the Philippines, and appears in other shows like ''Mel and Joey'', ''Startalk'', ''Nuts Entertainment'' and started a new show for ABC, the now-defunct ''Teka Mona'', which replaced ''Wow Mali'', his long-running TV show on the same network. Another show is in the works for Joey this time on GMA's sister station Q Network. He started hosting Takeshi's Castle with Ryan Yllana. He is also the resident judge of the annual reality-based star search ''StarStruck'' and writes the entertainment column ''De Leon's Den'' once a week in the Philippine broadsheet Manila Bulletin.
In December 2006, Joey returned to recording with a novelty single he wrote entitled "Itaktak Mo" (Shake it off). Unlike most of his previously recorded songs where the melodies were based on past and contemporary hits, ''Itaktak Mo'' had a unique melody that can pass off as either a pop dance hit or a ballroom song. Seen by critics as his answer to the other wildly popular hit, ''Boom Tarat Tarat'' (written by Lito Camo and sung by Joey's rival host Willie Revillame), ''Itaktak Mo'' was softly launched on Eat Bulaga! shortly before the Christmas season. On January 2007, the song was launched in Joey's album, ''Joey to the World 2'' and gained airplay in most FM stations in a short span of time. ''Itaktak Mo'' has also become part of Eat Bulaga!'s segment "Taktak Mo o Tatakbo" that replaced "Laban o Bawi", and is also one of the official dances of the 4th batch of the reality talent search ''StarStruck''.
After "Itaktak Mo" became one of the most requested dance tunes of 2007, Joey followed it up with "Kagat Labi Song", which was launched on "Eat Bulaga" on September 22, 2007. The "Kagat Labi" dance craze was already sweeping the whole country by storm before Joey wrote it. On February 24, 2008, Joey released a single entitled "Walang Daya" (No Cheating) with lyrics comparing his love to his rival host Willie Revillame's misfortunes (Wilyonaryo, Ferrari and Ultra stampede). He first sang it at his own program "Mel and Joey". "Walang Daya" will be included in the album version of "Kagat Labi" will be released under EMI Philippines.
In late 2009, he wrote another top hit Eat Bulaga song entitled "Ba Ba Boom". Then in early 2010, he wrote another single "Aalog-Alog" which is now rising to fame. He also wrote the themesong for Diz Iz It.
On July 31, 2008, de Leon tendered his irrevocable resignation as columnist (''De Leon's Den'') for Manila Bulletin.

Leon Julian Brendan Best (born 19 September 1986) is an English-born Irish footballer who plays as a striker for Newcastle United in the Premier League, and for the Republic of Ireland national team. Best represented Ireland at under-21 level and won his first full international cap against Nigeria on 29 May 2009.
He was a member of Southampton's youth team that reached the final of the FA Youth Cup in 2005, losing on aggregate to Ipswich Town.
Best also had two loan spells at Sheffield Wednesday in the 2005-06 season, scoring his first professional goal and Wednesday's first of the season on 9 August 2005 at Hillsborough against Hull City. The first loan spell was cut short in the same match when Best broke his foot and returned to St. Mary's after only 5 days in Sheffield. After recovering with Southampton, Best then returned to Hillsborough at the end of the January transfer window (though there was also speculation he would go to Crystal Palace) where he remained until the end of the season, scoring Wednesday's last goal of the season at Derby County on 30 April 2006.
On 3 August 2006 Best joined Football League One club Bournemouth on a month-long loan deal with an option to extend his stay. He returned to Southampton at the end of October at the end of the maximum 3 month loan spell, having made 15 league appearances, scoring 3 goals.
On 23 November 2006, he joined his team-mate Martin Cranie on loan to Yeovil Town until 22 February 2007.
After his successful loan spells, Best returned to play an important role in guiding Southampton to the Championship play-offs, where the Saints faced Derby County. He came on as a substitute in the first leg at St Marys, but could not prevent Southampton losing 2–1, with Derby striker Steve Howard scoring both of the goals for the away side.
In the deciding second leg, with a visit to the new Wembley Stadium awaiting the winners, Best started for Saints up front alongside prolific on-loan striker Marek Saganowski, and played a vital role in many of the attacks that Southampton delivered in their search for goals. In one move, Best showed superb ball control and vision to release Jhon Viáfara, who scored the goal that made the score on the night 2–1 to Southampton (3–3 on aggregate, and Viafara's second goal of the night). However, an unfortunate own goal from Best himself put Derby back in front, and although Southampton sent the game into extra time with a late goal from Polish and former Derby striker Grzegorz Rasiak, Southampton lost 4–3 in a penalty shootout, with Best missing the opening penalty, sending the ball wide of the goalkeeper Stephen Bywater's left post.
Best netted his first goal for Newcastle in a pre-season friendly against Carlisle United on 17 July 2010, followed by his second goal for the club in the pre-season Sir Bobby Robson tribute match against PSV Eindhoven on 31 July 2010. However Best then received a cruciate injury during pre-season causing him to miss the first few months of the 2010–11 season.
He was back in light training by the end of September and was on the bench for Newcastle's 1–1 draw with Chelsea on 28 November, but did not make an appearance. He made his comeback in Newcastle's 1–0 victory against Wigan Athletic on 2 January 2011, appearing as a late substitute for Shola Ameobi. Best made his first Premier League start for Newcastle in a home 5–0 win against West Ham United on 5 January 2011, scoring a hat-trick in the process, his first league goals for the club. He got injured prior to the Stoke away game on 19 March and was ruled out until the end of the season. However, Best had amassed a very impressive 6 goals in 10 starts and was touted by manager Alan Pardew as the next Newcastle forward to wear the famed No.9 shirt.
On 28 August 2011 he scored two goals against Fulham to give Newcastle a 2 - 1 victory and extend Newcastle's unbeaten run in all competitions.
Having already represented the Republic of Ireland national football team firstly at U17 level in 2002 and later at U21 level in May 2009, Best was called up to the Republic of Ireland senior squad for the first time for the games against Nigeria and then the World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria. He made his debut on the 29 May against Nigeria in a match that finished in a 1–1 draw.

After the war, Aldrin was assigned as an aerial gunnery instructor at Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada, and next was an aide to the dean of faculty at the U.S. Air Force Academy (which had recently begun operations in 1955). He flew F-100 Super Sabres as a flight commander at Bitburg Air Base, Germany in the 22nd Fighter Squadron. Aldrin then earned his Doctor of Science in astronautics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His graduate thesis was ''Line-of-sight guidance techniques for manned orbital rendezvous''. On completion of his doctorate, he was assigned to the Gemini Target Office of the Air Force Space Systems Division in Los Angeles before his selection as an astronaut.
On July 20, 1969, he was the second astronaut to walk on the moon and the first to have also spacewalked, keeping his record total EVA time until that was surpassed on ''Apollo 14''. There has been much speculation about Aldrin's desire at the time to be the first astronaut to walk on the moon. According to different NASA accounts, he had originally been proposed as the first to step onto the Moon's surface, but due to the physical positioning of the astronauts inside the compact Lunar Landing Module, it was easier for the commander, Neil Armstrong, to be the first to exit the spacecraft. There was also a desire on NASA's part for the first person to step onto the Moon's surface be a civilian, which Armstrong was.
Buzz Aldrin was the first person to hold a religious ceremony on the Moon. Aldrin is, as he was, a Presbyterian. After landing on the moon, Aldrin radioed Earth: "I'd like to take this opportunity to ask every person listening in, whoever and wherever they may be, to pause for a moment and contemplate the events of the past few hours, and to give thanks in his or her own way." He gave himself Communion on the surface of the Moon, but he kept it secret because of a lawsuit brought by atheist activist Madalyn Murray O'Hair over the reading of Genesis on Apollo 8. Aldrin, a church elder, used a pastor's home Communion kit given to him by Dean Woodruff and recited words used by his pastor at Webster Presbyterian Church. Webster Presbyterian Church, a local congregation in Webster, Texas (a Houston suburb near the Johnson Space Center) possesses the chalice used for communion on the moon, and commemorates the event annually on the Sunday closest to July 20. Aldrin, a Freemason, also carried to the Moon a special deputization from Grand Master J. Guy Smith, with which to claim Masonic territorial jurisdiction over the Moon on behalf of the Grand Lodge of Texas.
He referred to a "Phobos monolith" in a July 22, 2009 interview with C-Span: "We should go boldly where man has not gone before. Fly by the comets, visit asteroids, visit the moon of Mars. There's a monolith there. A very unusual structure on this potato shaped object that goes around Mars once in seven hours. When people find out about that they're going to say 'Who put that there? Who put that there?' The universe put it there. If you choose, God put it there…"
His battles against depression and alcoholism have been documented, most recently in ''Magnificent Desolation''. Aldrin is an active supporter of the Republican Party, headlining fundraisers for GOP members of Congress. In 2007, Aldrin confirmed to ''Time'' magazine that he had recently had a face-lift; he joked that the G-forces he was exposed to in space "caused a sagging jowl that needed some attention."
Interviewed by the Science Channel, Aldrin mentioned seeing unidentified objects, and he claims his words were taken out of context; he asked the Science Channel to clarify to viewers he did not see alien spacecraft, but they refused.
