NEVER REALLY SLEEP #5: NOTHING CONCERNING US THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE US

PART I: THE SOCIAL CONTRACT

So there I was, the tragic victim of thousands of dollars in university debts, yet still seemingly unable to write a cunting blog post that wasn't full of vulgar gutter language [and worse!*] or not be mistaken for crypto-commie apoligetica just coz sometimes, I'm, like, I don't fucking care how "anarchist" you are, I just wanna do rad shit and take this system down and maybe I can work with socialists if I gotta and whatever differences we have can be sorted out amongst ourselves and anyway, after the revolution they gotta catch us before they shoot us and I just want you to think big for Christ's sake, kinda like Richard Nixon said to Henry Kissinger  on this vid, you know?

PART II: NEVER REALLY SLEEP

PART III:  NOTHING CONCERNING US THAT DOES NOT INVOLVE US

Or: on a conversation about the question of whether socialists & anarchists can ever work together, who will corrupt who first and, safe in the knowledge that they [omg, "they!"] will have to catch us before they shoot us, is the price worth it?

Notes towards an investigation.

Also, a poem.

anarchy has it's vanguards & mystery cults
& it's initiatory ceremonies & it's ecstatic rituals
sometimes wearing the outer clothing of marxist creeds
just to go under the radar of the empire's guns
& maybe we have to play ball with these guys for now
& maybe we'll invite them into the tent
& some of their saints will become our saints & vice versa
& it's all very lofty & formalised & esoteric
but all throughout history in ways that we don't understand yet
we shook & will shake all each others certainties
& dismantle all churches & tear down all flags

& i know anarchy looks to the future
& anarchy has it's wild moshpits
& marathon marches that make pride parades
look like funeral processions
to allow freedom to flow like lava

& it invites in all men & women
to cause a mind changing & attitude changing
& life changing alchemy
that can never be restrained by words or ideologies
to bring about a more egalitarian society
& the understanding that there is no government
or system that can "look after us"
at least not without warping us

& we're so bored with all this struggle
& we know history is written by the winners
& they don't write about this
but this is what the people on the street are saying
maybe it's hardwired into the human animal
or maybe we just want it to be that way
