White supremacist rally in Minnesota shut down

On March 3rd, a white supremacist group tried to hold a rally in Duluth, MN to spread their message of hate. Anti-fascists locally and from around the state, along with members of the American Indian Movement (AIM), Wobblies, Occupy, and anti-racist Duluth residents, chased them out of town in short order.

The miners have gained nothing besides bitter experience, and 2000 of them have been left unemployed. This experience, however, makes it unlikely that the bosses, through their stooges the NUM, will be able to numb workers in the platinum sector any further.

Poland: Jola was Murdered one Year Ago

Housing activist Jolanta Brzeska was murdered one year ago, burned alive in the Kabacki Forest. She had been fighting against the landlords, notorious slumlords Mossakowski and Massalski and was the only old tenant left in the building. She was abducted from her apartment and murdered violently.

Spain: The CNT calls for a nationwide general strike on March 29

March 10 - The CNT, Spain's anarchist labor union, issued a statement yesterday announcing that they will be convoking a nation-wide general strike for March 29 against the labor reform passed on Thursday by the Parliament.

This coincides with strikes that have already been called for Galicia and the Basque Country. In these regions the call was made jointly between "minority" unions such as the CNT and CGT as well as regionally-important unions linked to nationalist movements. On the national scale, however, the CNT has called the strike on its own.

NO TAV women's day: reclaim dissent!

Responding to a call out made by women within the movement a few days ago, today around 100 NO TAV women met up in Susa to “have a chat” with the local Mayor (a woman herself).

The protesters bumped into the Mayor just outside the Council House and informed her they would “make a visit” to the meeting that had been planned in the morning.

Almost 40% of the population of Russian Federation with a "right to elect" chose not to participate in the electoral farce, indirectly expressing his opposition to the existing system, which doesn`t represent their will.

The greatest reluctance to participate in the farce showed residents of the Astrakhan region (53%), the Stavropol Region (52.5%), Moscow (51%), Ivanovo Region (49%), Arkhangelsk Region (48%), Smolensk Region (47%) and Samara Region (47 %), and the percentage of participants in the cities who had come to throw an unnecessary piece of paper into the ballot box is even lower than the national average
