BODY BAG
See what it’s like to be dead
Not a thought there to be had
I’m just not there to just not care
Sane’s equal to mad

I live in a body bag

Plane just left O’Hare
On time flight one-nine-one
Disaster in the air
Starboard engine’s gone

Human ants crawl feeling
Shocked. Prodding the snow of debris
Stopped watch. Final notification
Pending dental I.D.

SECURITY
Get yourself a spy, find yourself security
Start early on in life, build up some inmunity
Rock just turns to sand
See, no one really gives a damn
Fuck the policies, security’s a dread disease

What you seize you get, holes get bigger in your net
Take it all by force, or with some social intercourse
Everyone’s alone
Your mind’s the only thing you own
Everyone’s got needs, but security is just a greed

Predator – Punk Man/Paperboy Song 7″

In Hans Backlund’s first comment here, he asked for a post of this 7″, so here it comes. Maybe not as distorted as he thought it was, but it still got a cheap and great sound over all. The guitar solos are actually adding someting to the songs, which is very rare in my book. In this case they are mainly adding a big and gritty fuzz, but with such an intensiveness it’s chocking. Then we got the sound from the hi-hat which is amazing as well. And then there are the lyrics! I which I could add something clever about the brightness of “punk man”, but everytime I try I get stunned by the wittyness and the deeper meaning of the poetry delivered by the vocalist.

As a side note I got this record from frequent commentor Laszlo, who had 2 copies for sale at the same time, this copy in EX with original insert, and one copy in VG + with a xerox copied insert, and I won this copy, which ended $30 cheaper than the shabbier copy. Sometimes ebay is so weird.

This gem never came in a sleeve, but the labels were used for the infamous “Bust! – A compilation of original early worldwide punk rock”. According to the band, Bust! was not the record label though, but just a name they used to fill out the empty space on the label.

The Accident – Kill The Bee Gees 7″

I wasn’t that found of the versions on the early ’90s re-issue. That one has a different mix/versions compared to the original here. Could’ve lived without the pointless guitar solo in Kill the Bee Gees but the rest of the song makes up for it. True Detective sounds like an unfinished powerpop song that could’ve been really good if they worked a little bit more on it. I’ve always loved the Bee Gees by the way.

Society – Can’t Hide A Lie/The Cause 7″

Yes, they named the band after the flip to Babylons Burning by the Ruts who came from the same town. A band which they adored according to the info over att Bored Teenagers but also made them do an absolutely sucky attempt at white mans reggae on the flip. Can’t hide…on the other side(har har) is such a great punky powerpop song that I forgive them totally(almost). Never released with sleeve.
