Danny Morrison

Danny Morrison is a writer who lives in West Belfast. In the 1980s he was the national director of publicity for Sinn Fein, served time as an IRA prisoner, and until 2006 was better known as a regular political commentator in newspapers, on television and radio.

He then decided to concentrate on writing and arts reviewing, although he remains the secretary of the Bobby Sands Trust and has for several years been chairperson of Féile an Phobail, the festival founded in West Belfast in 1988.

He has just finished his fourth novel, provisionally titled Rudi, which has been inspired by Knulp, the 1915 novel by Hermann Hesse. Contact Danny Morrison at danny@dannymorrison.com.
