MYKEL BOARD'S STUFF An Award-winning website!

What? All these ads? Did you sell out? Naw, they don't control the content. I do. They just keep me in KY and Brooklyn Lager!
For awhile, I was pleased that there were NO COOKIES here. But I guess the advertisers need them in order to keep track of the clicks. That way I can receive the millions of rubles that will pour into my Swiss bank account. So now, I've got 'em, but you're welcome to reject them if you want to. It's easy if you use Opera as your browser. POP-UPS? WHAT POP-UPS? I've gotten some complaints about pop-up ads. I went to my website, a lo and behold, there they are! I don't know where they come from, though. If you're an expert on this kind of thing, let me know and I'll do my best to get rid of 'em. You hate 'em. I hate 'em.
Welcome to the webpages of MYKEL BOARD. I've tried to make them text heavy/graphics light so you won't have to bring along a book while waiting for them to load.

You Are Samuel Adams You're fairly easy to please when it comes to beer - as long as it's not too cheap.
You tend to change favorite beers frequently, and you're the type most likely to take a "beers of the world" tour.
When you get drunk, you're fearless. You lose all your inhibitions.
You're just as likely to party with a group of strangers as you are to wake up in a very foreign place. My mate:
What ethnic girl should you date? Your Result: Black GirlJudging from your responses, it sounds like you'd fit best with a Black Girl. You want someone who's opinionated and loud but honest. Someone who's loving for kids but also who's a working mother to support the family. Though, passive-aggressive, you seek someone who's more conservative aggressive and who's in tune with God.

Most of this stuff is also available through Amazon. You can look for it, or anything else here:
Of course, if you find an indie bookseller or
littleguy salesman, it'd be cooler.
I've also added links to some of my other writing:THE ORIGINAL 9-11 COLUMN (corrected now to REAL 911 column)Here's a message board where you can add your own comments to the discussion. Here's a column I wrote about the evils of teaching English. Some ESL teachers use it in their classes. You're welcome to it. Rick Roberts at KFMB radio has his own rants. This one was widely distributed in emails. Here's my answer. I found an interview with me in a Brazlian Magazine. It's from 1996. I hope you can read Portuguese. Here's an article I wrote for DOWNTOWN Newspaper in 1988. Jello Biafra asked me to stand in for him on the Morton Downey TV show.
Here is our privacy statement. It is fashionable these days for every site to have one. Why should we be different? Nobody reads them anyway. They just make people feel at ease.
Look for used books on Biblio from here.
If you want to dip into my writings, including my collected columns for Maximum Rock'n'Roll, check out the site maintained by Scott Born. While I like the folks at MRR, I also believe in Free Speech! That's why, I'm publishing the great MISSING NORB COLUMN. The censored one that cost him his job, fame and huge MRR income. THIS JUST IN: The CENSORED BOB BLACK LETTERS! In the interest of free speech and general shit stirring, I've published them here. Alternative archives for my more recent columns are kept along with other MRR columnists and are available from Mark Hanford. ALSO: Here are a few of my articles that have been printed elsewhere. The first is an article printed in the porn review zine BNI. It is called: Bisexuals and Porn: What's the SCORE? Next is an article about my legal problems in Japan called, My Life In Crime.
Articles are for free use anywhere on The Web, except as part of a pay-for-use service. Please give me credit (blame) as the author. If you reprint them in a way that is profitable, send me some money: (POB 137, Prince St. Station, New York NY 10012)
I've got to put these on another page. Check here for some of them. Many will be long unchained as I haven't updated the page in years. The hidden links are all over this page. The TARGET STARBUCKS project. Read about the project by clicking the link at the left.
A hint of irony might rear it's coffee-colored bottom as Google scans each page for content to see which ads show. So you might get a Starbucks ad at the top of this page. Maybe they have a guestbook.
There used to be a TARGET STARBUCKS DISCUSSION SITE but it mysteriously disappeared. Conspiracy anyone? One of my alma maters (alma materi?) is BELOIT COLLEGE That's interesting for me, but not for you, probably. BUT, Beloit publishes THE COLLEGE MINDSET each year. That tells about the new students and their... er... different point of view. For example, since these students were born Wal-Mart has always been a larger retailer than Sears and employed more workers than GM. And Prozac has always been available to dull the realities of life. More at the link above.
Oh yeah, you should check out my pal, God. His website is real cool and I went to his Bar Mitzvah a couple years ago.
Jim Goad, has finally republished the first three issues of, ANSWER ME, what maybe the best fanzine ever.
Robb Roemershauser has over 5000 zines in his New Orleans based Above Ground Zine Library. It managed
to survive the flood, though Robb's house did not. Find out about it and send in your own zine.
My pal Bob Bauman, who I love despite his being wrong about almost everything, has a great website/blog for those who are looking for something to do in New York and a whole bunch of foreigners to do it with. Check it out!
Hideki Nagase, a new student pal of mine has his own website-- mostly in Japanese, but with pictures ANYONE can understand. He's a stylist d'hair par excellance, and as much in demand for his humor as his cutting ability. He's right here! My good pal George Tabb needs your help:
