..Hi All, This isn't easy for any of us but sometimes life throws curveballs at you which you have deal with as and when they come. As most of you know Ryan couldn't do the Emery tour due to some family circumstances, unfortunately these have escalated and he is no longer in a position to carry on with the band. Obviously, we cannot disclose the information or reasons behind this, but we can tell you now it hasn't been easy. We are starting work as a four piece and will continue to play all the songs you know from us as well as songs for the new record which we have already started working on. The past 5 years have been amazing and we have been lucky to tour all over the UK and Europe with Ryan as a friend and singer. We will miss him dearly but have to support him in this situation. Hopefully he'll send us something through to send to you guys soon. We just want to say thank you to all of you for coming to our shows, buying our shirts and buying our records. We will continue to write music that means something to us until our dying day and we hope you stick by us. So here we are, a new era for Deaf Havana, and a new begining. Thank you to Ryan for all of his work and we wish him all the luck in the future but for now, we are excited about the prospects of what this brings for the band and it's a pleasure to have you all involved! Hope you like the new song and Thanks a lot! DH x

This is the brave story of my son Ryans fight against a rare blood disease called Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis. Ryan was born with Langerhans Cell Histocytosis, however it was not diagnosed until he was 4 months old. The disease had really got hold of him at this stage and was killing him. This video tells the story of Ryans battle with this disease and his journey so far. I really hope this video will raise awareness of this rare blood disease - Langerhans Cell Histiocytosis.

Note: In the last scene when Maeve is singing Danny Boy, Helen Gallagher started to break down during the scene and improvised the bit about asking everybody else to sing with her. If you look closely at the crowd many of the actors have trouble singing because they don't know the words to the song! After Ryan's Hope was canceled, the Ryan's pub set was given to ABC's One Life to Live where it was used for another few years.

Ryan's Hope Final Episode
Note: This is the last episode of Ryan's Hope, episode # 3515 aired Friday January 13, 1989. It was written by creator Claire Labine and directed by veteran director Lela Swift. The episode was taped over a two day period (January 4 & 5, 1989). Kate Mulgrew had agreed to appear onscreen as Jack's late wife Mary Ryan, a part she played from 1975 to 1978, but her schedule wouldn't permit her to leave LA and fly to NY for the taping. Her voiceover was done over the phone. Louise Shaffer also returns as Rae Woodard after a 5 year absence for a cameo. In the last few years, Louise had become a writer on the show. Irving Allen Lee and Lydia Hannibal (Dr. Evan Cooper and Chris Hannold) can be seen in the background of the party scenes but have no lines. For this last episode, each scene will be uploaded separately.
