Johnny Mathis - Misty (Original Stereo)
"Misty" was composed in 1954 by jazz pianist Errol Garner and was first recorded by him as an instrumental. Johnny Burke later added lyrics and the song was popularly recorded by Johnny Mathis in 1959 with Glenn Osser arranging and conducting the orchestra. "Misty" went to #12 on the pop charts for Mathis during October of 1959 and would become one of his signature songs. Both the Garner instrumental and the Mathis vocal recordings have been inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame.

Johnny Mathis "Where Do I Begin (Love Story)"
Johnny Mathis "Where Do I Begin (Love Story)"
Form his 1977 album "16 Most Requested" "(Where Do I Begin?) Love Story" is a popular song published in 1970, with music by Francis Lai and lyrics by Carl Sigman. The song was introduced in the movie Love Story. The song has been covered many times. Andy Williams recorded the biggest hit version (#9 on the US pop chart, #1 on the adult contemporary chart for four weeks). The song would also be recorded successfully by Lai himself with a full orchestra, and by Henry Mancini (US #13), Tony Bennett, Rick Astley, Johnny Mathis, Shirley Bassey, and Nana Mouskouri. Williams performed the song with Miss Piggy in an episode of The Muppet Show. There is also a Romanian cover of this song, by Aurelian Andreescu, as well as a French one by Mireille Mathieu. N.EX.T also covered this song in an instrumental version, in their album The Return of Next, Part 2.

Johnny Mathis - Remember
Johnny Mathis - Remember
Life is just a memory. This series of photos represents just some of the many memories of my 40-year real connection to Johnny Mathis and his organization. From my years with Rojon Productions, first in Hollywood, then in Burbank, through the various Johnny-related events and experiences, the fan club I directed, the newsletters I wrote, the fan mail I answered, the souvenir books I produced for him, the big anniversary parties I arranged for him, the memorabilia I organized for him, the archives I maintain for him ..... along with the privileges and special gifts I have enjoyed because of him. Think of all that life can be. Thank you, Johnny Mathis. My gratitude to Bob Ramos for his work on this video. The Johnny Mathis recording of "Remember" was first released on his album ME & MRS. JONES, in 1973.

Chances Are - Johnny Mathis (Ukulele Cover)
Make sure to wait for my special message at the very end 2:41. :) LOL Here is the sister-song to one I posted yesterday. This song, Chances Are has always been one of my favorites performed by the wonderful Johnny Mathis. But it was a bit hard to play for me. Many thanks to John Pak for sharing the chords to this song. I found it was too advanced for me in parts, so I had to wing it (haha) and I played it with capo on 1st fret. I hope you still like it. Let me know what you think. Thanks for putting up with all of my posts and for taking a listen. I truly appreciate more than you know. Happy Weekend friends!
