Girnar (also known as "Girnar Hill") is a collection of mountains in the Junagadh District of Gujarat, India, situated near Junagadh at a distance of 327 km from Ahmedabad. Amidst the lush green Gir Forest, the mountain range serves as the hub of religious activity. Apart from this, there is a mosque attracting many Muslim pilgrims to the place. Tv9 Gujarat - Girnar Arohan Avrohan Competition, Junagadh
National level Competition of Girnar Arohan Avrohan ended today. Total 15 states participated in this competition. There were 252 participants both male and female. Males were supposed to climb 5000 steps in 1 hour. Ramesh Solanki of Senior boys department made a new record by coming first and completing the competition in 55.33 minutes. Whereas Bharat Pandit of Junior boys department came first by completing the competition in 59.17 minutes. Females also showed great enthusiasm in the competition.Females were supposed to climb 2200 steps in one hour. Rina Thamar of senior girls department completed the competition in 36.22 minutes and came first and Madhu Chauhan of Junior girls department completed the competition in 38.42 minutes.
