Morris "Mo" C. Lewis (born October 21, 1969) is a former American football player who played linebacker for the New York Jets from 1991 until 2003.
He was a star at the University of Georgia, wearing the number 57 in his college and pro career. Lewis, along with former Jets teammate Marvin Jones, signed a one-day contract with the Jets on June 27, 2005. Lewis played 200 games as a Jet, the third longest tenure in franchise history and was one of the most loved team players and captains of his time. He was also a three-time Pro Bowler (1998, 1999, 2000), the Jets defensive captain from 1997 to 2003 and was named to the NFL All-Pro team after the 1998 season.
Lewis retired after the 2003 season with 1231 tackles (883 solo), 52.5 sacks, 14 interceptions for 241 yards, 79 pass deflections, 29 forced fumbles, 13 fumble recoveries for 74 yards, and 5 defensive touchdowns in 200 career games. He made the Pro Bowl three times during his career, in 1998, 1999 and 2000. Lewis's 2001 sideline hit on then-New England Patriots' quarterback Drew Bledsoe led to his replacement by Tom Brady.

Lewis (Scottish Gaelic: Leòdhas, pronounced [ʎɔː.əs̪], also Isle of Lewis) is the northern part of Lewis and Harris, the largest island of the Western Isles or Outer Hebrides (an archipelago) of Scotland. The total area of Lewis is 683 square miles (1,770 km2).
Lewis is, in general, the lower lying part of the island, with the other part, Harris, being more mountainous. The flatter, more fertile land means Lewis contains the largest settlement, Stornoway, and three-quarters of the population of the Western Isles. Beyond human habitation, the island's diverse habitats are home to an assortment of flora and fauna, such as the golden eagle, red deer and seals and are recognised in a number of conservation areas.
Lewis is of Presbyterian tradition with a rich history, having once been part of the Norse Kingdom of Mann and the Isles. Today, life is very different from elsewhere in Scotland with Sabbath observance, the Gaelic language and peat cutting retaining more importance than elsewhere. Lewis has a rich cultural heritage as can be seen from its myths and legends as well as the local literary and musical traditions.
Drew McQueen Bledsoe (born February 14, 1972) is a former American football quarterback who played fourteen seasons in the National Football League (NFL). Bledsoe is best known as the starting quarterback for the New England Patriots from 1993 to 2001. He also played for the Buffalo Bills and the Dallas Cowboys. During the 1990s, he was considered the face of the Patriots franchise.
The first overall pick in 1993 NFL Draft, Bledsoe helped improve the fortunes of the Patriots, who had fallen on hard times. Under his tenure as starting quarterback, the Patriots ended an eight-season postseason drought, qualified for the playoffs six times, and made one Super Bowl appearance. In his second season with the team, he was named to the 1995 Pro Bowl and is the youngest quarterback to appear in the NFL's all-star game.
Following a period of declining success and two consecutive seasons where the Patriots missed the playoffs, Bledsoe suffered a near-fatal injury early in the 2001 season and was replaced as starter by Tom Brady. He was unable to regain his starting position after he was medically cleared to play due to Brady's success with the team, which culminated with the franchise's first Super Bowl win. Bledsoe then retired after stints with the Bills and the Cowboys. For his accomplishments in New England, he was inducted into the Patriots Hall of Fame in 2011.
Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr. (born August 3, 1977), is an American football quarterback for the New England Patriots of the National Football League (NFL).
After playing college football for the University of Michigan, Tom Brady was drafted by the Patriots in the sixth round of the 2000 NFL draft. In Brady's 14 seasons as a starter (he did not start as a rookie, and missed nearly all of 2008 with a torn ACL), the Patriots have earned six trips to the Super Bowl (the most for any quarterback, ever), winning four. Brady has won three Super Bowl MVP (Super Bowl XXXVI, XXXVIII, and XLIX) and two league MVP awards (2007 and 2010), has been selected to eleven Pro Bowls, and has led the Patriots to more division titles (13) than any other quarterback in NFL history. Brady is fifth all-time in career passing yards and third in career touchdown passes. His career postseason record is 22–9; he has won more playoff games than any other QB, and appeared in more playoff games than any player at any position. He led the Patriots when they set the NFL record for the longest consecutive win streak, including the playoffs, with 21 straight wins in the 2003 and 2004 seasons. He also set the record for most consecutive playoff wins with 10, and in 2007 led the Patriots to the first undefeated regular season since the season was expanded to 16 games. He has thrown for more passing yards and touchdowns than any quarterback in NFL postseason history, and has the sixth highest career passer rating of all time (96.6) among quarterbacks with at least 1,500 career passing attempts.
The Super Bowl is the annual championship game of the National Football League (NFL), the highest level of professional football in the United States. The game culminates a season that begins in the late summer of the previous calendar year. Normally, Roman numerals are used to identify each game, rather than the year in which it is held. For example, Super Bowl I was played on January 15, 1967, following the 1966 regular season. The single exception to this rule is Super Bowl 50, which was played on February 7, 2016, following the 2015 regular season.
The game was created as part of a merger agreement between the NFL and its then-rival league, the American Football League (AFL). It was agreed that the two leagues' champion teams would play in the AFL–NFL World Championship Game until the merger was to officially begin in 1970. After the merger, each league was redesignated as a "conference", and the game has since been played between the conference champions to determine the NFL's league champion. Currently, the National Football Conference (NFC) leads the league with 26 wins to 23 wins for the American Football Conference (AFC). The Pittsburgh Steelers have the most Super Bowl victories with six.

Fifteen years ago Friday, on Sept. 23, 2001, with 5:03 remaining in the fourth quarter of the Jets-Patriots game, Jets linebacker Mo Lewis slammed into Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe along the right sideline at old Foxboro Stadium. That moment changed the NFL forever. Bledsoe returned for a series, threw one more pass, and then was replaced by unknown backup Tom Brady. Everybody knows the rest of the story. Bledsoe never got his job back as Brady led the Patriots to their first of four Super Bowl titles and has evolved into arguably the best NFL quarterback ever.
best moment in boston sports? (not because drew was injured but because brady might have never gotten his chance...)

On Patriots' Access back on September 26, 2001, Tom Brady was interviewed before his first ever career start as an NFL quarterback in his career. Tom Brady took over the starting job for the New England Patriots after QB Drew Bledsoe sustained a serious injury by Jets' player Mo Lewis in the second game of the 2001 season. The Patriots went on to beat the "Greatest Show on Turf" St. Louis Rams in Super Bowl XXXVI in a huge upset.

Bledsoe threw 0 TDs-2 INTs, passed for 159 yards, went 18/28 on passes, had a completion percentage of 64.29, and had a passer-rating of 49.6. Tree stumps, picnic tables, slalom cones, rails, rock gardens, sewer systems, and, of course, curbs, are exploited to their fullest in Almost Skateboard's newest film, 5-Incher. (Easy ... that's a reference to the height of a primo curb.) The ALMOST gang often slap the curbs together and it's always fun, so why not stretch that feeling through the whole video? So, we stuffed this pixilated piñata with all the creativity, absurdity, dark humor and raw fun of skateboarding. There's even some safety advice (if you posses the ability to teleport) and a short history lesson. Prepare to wear out the slow-mo button! Oh, wait ... we don't watch these on VCRs anymore. LLEG" A MI LA INCOMPRENSI"N, DESILUSI"N.
MOSTR?NDOME LA REALIDAD, TU PROFESI"N.
LA GORDA DE BUZ"N CON SU
PENDEJO VENDIENDO MERCA.
DEGRADACION O ENFERMEDAD.
NO CULPO AL QUE NO PAS" SU INFANCIA FELIZ,
AL QUE NO TUVO EDUCACI"N
Y SE LA BANC".
PERO LOS PRINCIPIOS DE LA MORAL
NO SON GENETICOS.
DEGRADACION O ENFERMEDAD.
DEGRADACION O ENFERMEDAD.
LA INCONSCIENCIA QUE MANDA A LA TENTACI"N.
Y QUE CARAJO TE IMPORTA TU HIJO EN VIDA.
PUES EL HOMBRE NO MUERE EL HOMBRE SE MATA.
LOS GRITOS QUE NUNCA ESCUCH?S LLORAN POR VOS.
