White onion is a type of dry onion that has a pure white skin and a sweet, mild white flesh.

This onion is used in Mexican foods or complementing the flavors of other ingredients.

The onion can be sautéed to a dark brown color and served to provide a sweet and sour flavor to other foods.

Marco Pierre White (born 11 December 1961) is a British celebrity chef, restaurateur and television personality. He is noted for his contributions to contemporary international cuisine, and his exceptional culinary skills.

White has been dubbed the first celebrity chef, the enfant terrible of the UK restaurant scene and the Godfather of modern cooking. White was, at the time, the youngest chef ever to have been awarded three Michelin stars. He has trained chefs such as Gordon Ramsay.

Marco Pierre White was the third of four boys born to Italian mother Maria-Rosa Gallina, who had come to Britain to learn English, and chef Frank White, who had struck up a conversation with Maria at the Griffin Hotel in Leeds while he was playing cards.

After marrying in 1954, they lived in a council house in East Leeds, and had sons Graham (1955), Clive (1957) (also a chef) and Marco. Six years later, Maria gave birth to a fourth son, Craig Simon. Two days afterwards, she collapsed and was taken back to St James's University Hospital, Leeds, where she died of a brain haemorrhage at the age of 38.

Sir Robert Richmond Rex, KBE, CMG, (25 January 1909 – 12 December 1992) was Premier of the Pacific island state of Niue from its establishment as a self-governing territory 19 October 1974 until his death in 1992. Upon his death in office, he was succeeded by Mititaiagimene Young Vivian, until General Elections the following year resulted in the election of Frank Fakaotimanava Lui into office. Having served 18 years in office, he is Niue's longest serving Premier and most probably the Pacific's longest serving head of a Government. Sir Robert became the first Niuean to receive knighthood in 1984.

Although he was opposed to party politics on Niue, he was supported by the Niue People's Action Party after its formation in 1987. During his almost two decades in office, Sir Robert held virtually all Government ministerial portfolios from time to time. His Cabinet of Ministers included prominent Niuean figures such as Dr. Enetama Lipitoa, Mititaiagimene Young Vivian & Frank Fakaotimanava Lui, the latter two both went on to become respectable Premiers of Niue.
