In an effort to keep you entertained in quarantine, we continue our lockdown concert series by premiering the full unseen performance footage from Nina's 2005 hit album, Nina Live!
The live album, consisting of Nina's fan-favorite cover songs that she performed in her gigs, was recorded on January 30, 2005 at PHI Resto & Bar in Metro Manila and directed by Marla Ancheta. Nina and The Essence band rehearsed for only two weeks prior to the shoot since they already knew the songs. Nina's then-labelmates Christian Bautista, Thor, and Trapp of Dice & K9 also worked with the Soul Siren for this project.
Some of the timeless love songs included in the album are "I Don't Want to Be Your Friend", "Love Moves in Mysterious Ways", "Through the Fire", Constantly, and "I Love You, Goodbye". These were subsequently awarded as the 2000s most successful singles, making Nina Live! a massive success. A week after its release, it immediately rose to Gold status, and became certified Platinum in less than a month. It was also considered to be one of the country's biggest-selling album, certifying 10x Platinum by the Philippine Association of the Record Industry.
The Nina Live! footage to be uploaded to Warner Music Philippines' YouTube channel will also be part of the singer's birthday celebration.
As we all adjust to the new reality of life, we continue to share both live and previously shot concerts that you can watch from the safety of your home. Bookmark https://wmp.lnk.to/youtube for more Live Catalogue series, featuring Christian Bautista, Rico Blanco, Sitti, and more.

Lyrics:
Baby girl si yo te quiero y tu me quieres
Pa irnos pa cartagena pa escuchar mis canciones
Baby girl si yo te quiero y tu me quieres
The first time I saw your face
Deep ina me heart, girl ya take a big place
The way you wine your waist
Mesmorizing...you...me want chase (giiirl)
You take over my head space
Longest nights and the the longest days (giiirl)
I wanna know what to pre ?
I wanna know what you feel about me (babayyy)
I wanna know what I see
Sexy body boy ya bring it on me (babayyy)
I wanna make you believe
Love you more, than you know me love burning trees
And I wanna make memories
With you baby girl ms. please don’t tease
I get up in your blood capillaries
And make families
That’s the way I see it girl
Si yo te quiero y tu me quieres

Baby girl si yo te quiero y tu me quieres
Pa irnos pa cartagena pa escuchar mis canciones
Baby girl si yo te quiero y tu me quieres
The first time I saw your face
Deep ina me heart, girl ya take a big place
The way you wine your waist
Mesmorizing...you...me want chase (giiirl)
You take over my head space
Longest nights and the the longest days (giiirl)
I wanna know what to pre ?
I wanna know what you feel about me (babayyy)
I wanna know what I see
Sexy body boy ya bring it on me (babayyy)
I wanna make you believe
Love you more, than you know me love burning trees

Hello! My name is Andy. How are you?
Let's talk about the Old Occitan language.
Old Occitan Language:
Old Occitan, also known as romanz, proensal, or lenga d'òc, was a Gallo-Romance language group that emerged in southern France and later evolved into pre-modern Occitan. Unlike a single, unified language like Castilian, Old Occitan included various dialects such as Lengadoc, Provence, Limousin, and Auvergne, with mutual intelligibility despite notable differences. Gascon, a neighboring dialect heavily influenced by Basque, is considered a separate Occitano-Romance language due to its unique grammar and phon...

Occitan - A Language Under the Guillotine
To watch the full 38-minute video visit: www.swpictures.co.uk
Story: Of the more than 6,000 languages in the world, 3,000 are in danger of extinction. Sadly there are several languages in Europe whose very existence is threatened. Occitan, a language spoken in a few pockets of southern France and heir to a rich literary tradition, is one of them. In this documentary we show how France’s government is doing its utmost to kill the language: outlawing its use in government offices, preventing its use in schools, ridiculing those who speak it and making French a job requirement. This policy has taken Occitan from a living language to the brink of oblivion in just three generations. Occitanie has never been an independent country and France has never given it the status of administrative regio...

is a Romance language (or branch of numerous of these) spoken in Southern France, Monaco, Italy's Occitan Valleys, as well as Spain's Val d'Aran; collectively, these regions are sometimes referred to as Occitania. It is also spoken in the linguistic enclave of Guardia Piemontese (Calabria, Italy). Some include Catalan in Occitan, as the distance between this language and some Occitan dialects (such as the Gascon language) is similar to the distance among different Occitan dialects. Catalan was considered a dialect of Occitan until the end of the 19th century and still today remains its closest relative.
Occitan is an official language of Catalonia, where a subdialect of Gascon known as Aranese is spoken in the Val d'Aran. Since September 2010, the Parliament of Catalonia has considered Aranese Occitan to be the officially preferred language for use in the Val d'Aran.
Across history, the terms Limousin (Lemosin), Languedocien (Lengadocian), Gascon, and later Provençal (Provençal, Provençau or Prouvençau) have been used as synonyms for the whole of Occitan; nowadays, "Provençal" is understood mainly as the Occitan dialect spoken in Provence, in southeast France.
Unlike other Romance languages such as French or Spanish, there is no single written standard language called "Occitan", and Occitan has no official status in France, home to most of Occitania. Instead, there are competing norms for writing Occitan, some of which attempt to be pan-dialectal, whereas others are based on particular dialects. These efforts are hindered by the rapidly declining use of Occitan as a spoken language in much of southern France, as well as by the significant differences in phonology and vocabulary among different Occitan dialects.

Occitan’s various dialects tend to adopt many features from other nearby languages; as such, mutual intelligibility is limited between some dialects of Occitan.
After decades of marginalization by French-only policies in France, Occitan is finally being taught in some schools, but those learning it in school report being unable to communicate with native speakers. It is generally losing speakers, with the younger generation - especially in rural areas, where it is used at home - learning it far less frequently. There is, however, an increasingly positive attitude toward the language in the region.

Welcome to my channel! This is Andy from I love languages. Let's learn different languages/dialects together.
Special Thanks to Xuan Meléndez! :)
Adieu-siatz! Me dic Andy. Com vas?
Gascon, a neighboring dialect heavily influenced by Basque, is considered a separate Occitano-Romance language due to its unique grammar and phonetic features. Old Occitan served as the literary language of the troubadours, with the koine (common language) they developed for poetic and official texts unifying the dialects. This shared literary standard was vibrant yet flexible, allowing several dialectal forms. The language began its evolution in the 9th century, with prominent growth between the 11th and 13th centuries, influenced by Latin, Arabic, and local customs.
Occitan People:
The people of medieval Occitania, known as Occitans, inhabited regions south of the Loire River, especially in southern France. Their society was distinct for its openness to cultural and philosophical influences, particularly the Cathar religion, which promoted an alternative Christian worldview that clashed with the Catholic Church. This openness created a society valuing freedom, justice, and reverence for women, unlike the hierarchical structures in northern France and other parts of medieval Europe. The Occitans also became known for their troubadours, poets and musicians who celebrated courtly love and chivalry. Figures like Guilhem IX and Raimbaut de Vaqueyras exemplified this cultural innovation, which would profoundly impact the literary and philosophical traditions across Europe.
Occitan Culture:
Occitan culture flourished in the medieval period, merging values of chivalric respect, intellectual freedom, and poetic expression. The arrival of Catharism in the region encouraged a distinctively progressive outlook, fostering debates on religious and social matters that questioned the authority of the Catholic Church. Coupled with a deep appreciation for Arabic and classical Latin culture, Occitania developed a rich tradition of poetry, music, and philosophical thought. The troubadours of Occitania, through their refined lyricism and revolutionary views on love, helped shape European poetic traditions. Despite the cultural suppression following France’s conquest of the County of Toulouse, the legacy of Occitan poets and thinkers influenced European literature, music, and chivalric ideals, though the unique Occitan identity and koine language standard ultimately faded.
This video is created for educational, language awareness, and language preservation purposes. It aims to provide valuable insights and knowledge to viewers, enhancing their understanding and appreciation of different languages and their unique characteristics. By raising awareness about linguistic diversity, the video seeks to foster a greater respect and recognition for various languages, particularly those that are endangered or underrepresented. Additionally, it contributes to the preservation of languages by documenting and sharing linguistic knowledge, thus ensuring that these languages and their cultural heritage are not lost to future generations.

Occitanie has never been an independent country and France has never given it the status of administrative region. It occupies one third of France, but only 3 million of the 14 million people living there speak the language. It also stretches into 12 Alpine valleys of Italy’s Piedmont region, with a population of 180,000. Occitan was once the leading European language in poetic literature, the language of the troubadours. But eight centuries later, it has virtually succumbed before the onslaught of French. Today, however, there is a fledgling movement which aims to reverse this decline. It can be seen in universities, in schools, in the arts, in the determination of young people to use the language of their grandparents, in the creation of Occitan media and especially in music. This film is a portrait of a linguistic minority’s fight for survival. The question put forth in this report is: will the United State of Europe finally become a reality or will there be a rise in the unification of cross-border regions based on cultural and linguistic ties? Will non-official languages tend to die out or in a Europe rich in diversity will people from Alicante to Turin and from the Balearic Islands to Bordeaux communicate in the same tongue?

Occitan (English: /ˈɒksɪtən, -tæn, -tɑːn/;[10][11] Occitan: occitan [utsiˈta, uksiˈta][a]), also known as lenga d'òc (Occitan: [ˈleŋɡɔ ˈðɔ(k)] (listen); French: langue d'oc) by its native speakers, and sometimes also referred to as Provençal, is a Romance language spoken in Southern France, Monaco, Italy's Occitan Valleys, as well as Val d'Aran in Catalonia; collectively, these regions are sometimes referred to as Occitània. It is also spoken in Calabria (Southern Italy) in a linguistic enclave of Cosenza area (mostly Guardia Piemontese). Some include Catalan in Occitan, as the distance between this language and some Occitan dialects (such as the Gascon language) is similar to the distance between different Occitan dialects. Catalan was considered a dialect of Occitan until the end of the 19th century[12] and still today remains its closest relative.[13]
Occitan is an official language of Catalonia, where a subdialect of Gascon known as Aranese is spoken (in the Val d'Aran).[14] Since September 2010, the Parliament of Catalonia has considered Aranese Occitan to be the officially preferred language for use in the Val d'Aran.
Across history, the terms Limousin (Lemosin), Languedocien (Lengadocian), Gascon, and later Provençal (Provençal, Provençau or Prouvençau) have been used as synonyms for the whole of Occitan; nowadays, "Provençal" is understood mainly as the Occitan dialect spoken in Provence, in southeast France.[15]
Unlike other Romance languages such as French or Spanish, Occitan does not have a single written standard form, and does not have official status in France, home to most of its speakers. Instead, there are competing norms for writing Occitan, some of which attempt to be pan-dialectal, whereas others are based on a particular dialect. These efforts are hindered by the rapidly declining use of Occitan as a spoken language in much of southern France, as well as by the significant differences in phonology and vocabulary among different Occitan dialects.
According to the UNESCO Red Book of Endangered Languages,[16] four of the six major dialects of Occitan (Provençal, Auvergnat, Limousin and Languedocien) are considered severely endangered, whereas the remaining two (Gascon and Vivaro-Alpine) are considered definitely endangered.
