In Bengali literature, we know Sukumar Roy as the pioneer in Nonsense Rhymes. During his brief lifespan, we come across this brilliance, in many forms. These Nonsense Rhymes are the best example of this author's multifaceted talent. During his association with Presidency College, he had formed a club, which came to be known as the "Nonsense Club". This club used to publish a magazine which was known as Share Botirish Bhaja (Thirty Two & Half Fries). It is from here that Sukumar Roy started writing about Abol-Tabol. During the time when he was the editor of the Children's Magazine called "Sandesh", his writings in the form of poems & stories are still treated as milestones in the history of Bengali Children's Litreature. Abol Tabol, the first of its kind in Bengali Language, in the form of Nonsense Rhymes, is an unforgettable creation by Sukumar Roy.
