My Turtle Yard - Outdoor Box Turtle Enclosure
My Turtle Yard - Outdoor Box Turtle Enclosure
This is an approx 10'x10' turtle yard I built in my back yard last year.I have 4 box turtles & a Russian tortoise in here.I think it's big enough to add a couple more turtles in here so I'm going to post a link on Craig's list & see if I can rescue any turtles from a life in a small indoor tank! :-).I think this is the best way to keep box turtles. They enjoy being outside & do well in an environment like this.I always hate to see poor old box turtles being keep indoors in small tanks. They need fresh air & sunshine. This outdoor enclosure is perfect for them. They have areas of sun & areas of shade & lots of places to hide & a wading pool so they have access to fresh water whenever they want it so they seem to enjoy it out here. :-)

In this video she is eating lunch right before going to sleep...again....haha i had just cleaned her tank and added some pink flowers in her little bath tub. She loves hiding under the bridge! ^_^ and also her "log house". She gets kind of boring just bathing in the "sun" but is still cute! ^_^ She's now hibernating....cant wait till spring and summer!
