Endings and New beginnings: My journey (2)

Click picture for Source

I was looking for something that would tie the spiritual journey to discipline. I Googled here and I Googled there. I scrolled up and down web pages. I gave up and went back to reading some more awesome quotes by Khalil Gibran when I chanced upon this:

“Your reason and your passion are the rudder and the sails of your seafaring soul.
If either your sails or your rudder be broken you can but toss and drift,
or else be held at a stand still in mid-seas.
- Khalil Gibran, Il Profeta

Stuart Wilde : Miracles

Amidst my dad crying foul at the size of a dozen chicken eggs that one can get these days for RM10, thought I’d share a little from a book that I have just finished reading.

It’s a little book (much like the little chicken eggs in the fridge that’s got my dad howling) called Miracles by Stuart Wilde.

You know before I continue, I’m now trying to picture how small a hen should be to produce such little eggs, maybe my dad was right? Shoppers are being conned into buying bird eggs that look like chicken eggs?? *Note to self -no eggs till a new batch of normal looking eggs populate the fridge)

Endings and new beginnings: My journey

Spirituality is something that I’ve always been interested in. I called it a whole load of other things such as religion, the occult, the world of psychic and magic; and karma. Now I sort of know better and just use the blanket term of spirituality which in my definition means anything to do with the spirit or soul. Wikipedia might have a better write up on it, so feel free to click the linked words ;)

The Magician King by Lev Grossman = Pretty awesome!

The world of magic and magicians for the most of us, exploded into our life with the Harry Potter series. Everyone who didn’t live under a coconut shell (or any other sort of shell) was touched by the world of magic and mythical creatures.

“How to remain single while surviving articles telling you how to spice up your relationship”

I read this post on “Tips to spice up your marriage” – it’s hysterical, you really should read it. Realizing that I hadn’t posted anything for a few days, it suddenly dawned on me.

My Tarot Deck

These were my first tarot deck. John Holland's Psychic Oracel Tarot Deck

I came across a writing prompt : To write a poem about everyday things. Well, I’m not too sure if what I have written can be classified as poetry and I am fully aware that the tarot deck isn’t everyone’s everyday thing that happens to be lying around. However, I have decided or to be honest, have been pushed by something in me to go back to my journey into spirituality and one of the things that makes up part of it, for me is the tarot deck.
