The UK is still arming repression
Many people think that the UK stopped selling arms to Egypt and Bahrain in 2011. Sadly, the UK continues to arm these repressive regimes. On 25 January, we delivered 7000 signatures to the Foreign Office to say that This is NOT OK. Please also ask your MP to act.
Jobs for life, not death
Arms giant BAE Systems has announced more job cuts, laying off 3,000 workers. A progressive solution would be to redirect the massive government subsidy given to arms companies to green jobs – and support a sustainable future for skilled workers in a growing industry.
