Brazil
highlights its relations with Cuba
BRAZILIAN President Dilma Rousseff began the second
day of her official visit to Cuba by honoring José
Martí, Cuba’s national hero. Accompanied by Cuban
Deputy Foreign Minister Rogelio Sierra, Rousseff
placed a wreath at the foot of the monument in
Havana’s Plaza de la Revolución.

IN the afternoon of January 31, President Raúl Castro
Ruz accompanied Brazilian President Dilma Rousseff to the port facility of
Mariel. There they were given an account of the investment process and the
strategic importance of this future container terminal, both for Cuba and the
region.
