Student Programs

For more than three decades, The Nation magazine has offered a comprehensive internship program for college students and recent graduates interested in print and online magazine journalism. Interns work full-time in three groups annually. Former interns include Burkhard Bilger, Darcy Frey, Edward Miliband, Amy Wilentz and Nation editor Katrina vanden Heuvel, among many others. THE DEADLINE FOR THE WINTER/SPRING GROUP HAS PASSED.
Check back soon for details on upcoming Nation student conferences and events.

We will see no movement that actually stands for "an economy for all" until one comes along that recognizes an economic reality: Not everyone can work, and there aren't nearly enough jobs for all who need them. Today's movement calls for job creation, and that's good -- we've been doing that for the past 30 years. But we won't touch the issue of how people should survive in the meantime.
