Music To Spazz By with Dave the Spazz

News from the Freeform Front

Don't miss Marty McSorley's show on Tuesday, January 31st (6-9am) when Black Pus (Brian Chippendale of Lighting Bolt) destroys the studio! Black Pus is Chippendale's solo drum assault on everything that is good and holy. The sound this man unleashes melts faces faster than whatever that stuff in "Raiders of the Lost Ark" was.

On Wednesday, Feb 1st, DJ Rupture and Lamin Fofana team up for a special 2-hour live broadcast from Spectacle Theater in Brooklyn. This show will be dedicated to the music & videos of the African diaspora in New York City, will be followed by a screening God’s Own Country by director Femi Agbayewa. Palm wine and koala nuts with the $5 admission (space is limited so get there early): 124 S. 3rd street in Williamsburg.

Guitar and loop pedal virtuoso Dustin Wong (ex-Ponytail, Ecstatic Sunshine) stops Liz Berg's show on Monday, February 13th from 9-noon for another stellar live set of orchestrated, one-man symphonies. Dustin will delight and defy your ears with elegantly layered compositions from his forthcoming album, entitled "Dreams Say, View, Create, Shadow Leads" (Thrill Jockey). Catch him live on Jan 21st at 285 Kent Ave, or on Feb 3rd at Glasslands Gallery.
