Closing date for signature of the Nagoya - Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety
The Nagoya - Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on Liability and Redress to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety was opened for signature at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 7 March 2011. To date 37 Parties to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety have signed the Supplementary Protocol and one Party has deposited its instrument of ratification. In accordance with its Article 17, the Supplementary Protocol will be closed for signature after 6 March 2012.
