Cam Janssen (born April 15, 1984) is a professional ice hockey player who plays for the New Jersey Devils. The Devils drafted him 117th overall in the fourth round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. Janssen is also known as an enforcer and 'tough guy' for his physical play and frequent fights.
He led the Devils during the 2005–06 season with 11 major penalties for fighting. On February 24, 2007 he scored his first career goal against the Washington Capitals at 10:33 in the second period in his 82nd NHL game. The Devils' fans gave Janssen a standing ovation.
In the second period of a regular season game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on March 2, 2007, Janssen rendered Toronto Maple Leaf defenseman Tomas Kaberle unconscious with a late hit to the head. Kaberle was carried off the ice on a stretcher. The NHL announced Janssen would be suspended for a period of three games without pay, forfeiting a total of $7,220.16.
On March 30, 2007, Janssen received a sore shoulder after fighting Philadelphia's Riley Cote and missed 4 games. He returned for the playoffs against the Tampa Bay Lightning. Janssen was injured in the 2007 NHL preseason as well, suffering an injury in a fight with Jesse Boulerice.
During the 2007–08 season on December 26, 2007, Janssen participated in a charity event with the New Jersey Devil and Santa at Floyd Hall Arena in Little Falls, and the Ice Vault Arena in Wayne. He also participated in an autograph session with the fans. On February 26, 2008, Janssen was traded by the Devils traded to hometown team, the St. Louis Blues, for defenseman Bryce Salvador. He made his debut two days later, wearing #55 against the Phoenix Coyotes.
In the 2009–10 season, Janssen became known as the "4 minute Man" as he averaged 4 minutes 42 seconds of ice time and 4 minutes 42 seconds of penalty time per game. A free agent after his contract with the St. Louis Blues ended in 2011, he signed a 1-year, two-way contract with the Devils on July 14, 2011.

Mike played his first professional season in 2000–01 with the Albany River Rats of the American Hockey League (AHL), an affiliate of the Devils. Rupp made his NHL debut in the 2002–03 season with the Devils where he helped them win the Stanley Cup, scoring the Cup-clinching goal. Rupp is only player in Stanley Cup history to have his first playoff goal be the Stanley Cup winning goal.
The following season in 2003–04, Rupp was traded by the Devils with a second round draft pick to the Phoenix Coyotes for Jan Hrdina on March 5, 2004. After the NHL lockout Rupp was traded by the Coyotes along with Jason Chimera and Cale Hulse to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Geoff Sanderson and Tim Jackman on October 8, 2005. Columbus declined to submit Rupp (a restricted free agent) a qualifying offer in June 2006.
On July 9, 2006, Rupp signed a one-year, $450,000 contract to return to the New Jersey Devils. After a successful season establishing himself as a gritty hardworking player Rupp re-signed with the Devils on June 28, 2007, to a two-year contract.
On July 1, 2009, Rupp signed a two-year, $1.65 million dollar contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins. While scoring his first career hat-trick on November 30, 2009 against the New York Rangers, Rupp scored his six, seventh, and eighth goals for a new career high just 28 games into the 2009–10 season.
On July 1, 2011, Rupp signed a three-year contract worth $4.5 million with the New York Rangers.
