Like a Bad Penny…
Tachyon TV is back after our short hiatus. Many thanks for all the petitions we’ve received and the smashed television set that was dumped in my back garden. Despite all that, we’ve decided to keep going anyway. The site has been re-jigged a little but it’s business as usual in terms of content. Our team of writers will continue to produce a wide range of intelligent, provocative and hopefully entertaining pieces about television and related subjects until the goodwill runs out and they get fed up of doing unpaid work. We’ll draw your attention to the most interesting or horrifying archive television releases on DVD, but at the same time keep a close eye on upcoming new UK and US programmes.
The site will cover a wide range of programmes: science fiction will feature, but it will rub shoulders with London Weekend Television comedies, and share space with the early work of Ken Loach. Nothing is off limits on the principle that if it interests us then it will probably interest others. Our occasional series Space Time Visualiser will also continue to feature significant anniversaries of various television shows, or if you prefer, it will continue to provide writers with a tenuous excuse to bang on about something that interests/annoys them.
For the next year Neil will be busy driving himself and Sue mad with the wonderful Wife in Space blog, so for now, I’m in charge of Tachyon TV. As ever I’d welcome contributions from other writers so if you’d like to write something for the Space Time Visualiser, or review a DVD release or current television programme then please contact me.
I hope you all enjoy the site.
John
