2014 NFL Hall of Fame Class - Walter Jones Derrick Brooks Michael Strahan Andre Reed Aeneas Williams In a nod to both the excellence of those who were in their first years of eligibility as well as those who waited some time for their turns, former Seattle Seahawks tackle Walter Jones, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker Derrick Brooks and former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan led the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2014. [+] EnlargeDerrick Brooks Al Bello/Getty Images Derrick Brooks, an 11-time Pro Bowler and a nine-time All Pro, was chosen for the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday. Also voted in on Saturday were former wide receiver Andre Reed and cornerback Aeneas Williams, as well as defensive end Claude Humphrey and Ray Guy, the first punter ever to make the Hall. Jones and Brooks were in their first years of eligibility. Guy and Humphrey were both finalists chosen by the Hall of Fame's Seniors Committee. The class was selected after a nine-hour meeting of the Hall of Fame's Board of Selectors, believed to be the longest-ever meeting of the group. Brooks was chosen for 11 Pro Bowls in 14 seasons with the Buccaneers, was a five-time first-team All Pro by the Associated Press, and was the Defensive Player of the Year in 2002. He was equally respected off the field, having won the 2000 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award. Brooks returned an interception for a touchdown in Super Bowl XXXVIII, and he returned three interceptions for touchdowns in the 2002 season. He took to Twitter after he learned he was headed to Canton. Jones was a nine-time Pro Bowler as well as a four-time first-team All Pro selection by the AP. After the Seahawks selected Jones sixth overall in the 1997 draft, he started all 180 games he played for Seattle in his 12 seasons. He was whistled for holding only nine times in 5,703 pass plays, and allowed only 23 sacks during his entire career. He was voted to the NFL All-Decade team for the 2000s. Reed, who had been an eight-time finalist for the Hall, was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and the Buffalo Bills' leading receiver in each of their four Super Bowl seasons. He also ranks fifth in NFL history with 85 postseason receptions and found a way to produce in a Bills offense that ran the ball 51 percent of the time during his career. [+] EnlargeMichael Strahan Ron Antonelli/NY Daily News Archive via Getty Images Michael Strahan, who ranks fifth all time in sacks with 141.5, was selected for the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday. Strahan, who had his Hall of Fame credentials questioned very publicly by Warren Sapp during Super Bowl week, was a Hall finalist for the second consecutive year. Strahan, who played the left defensive end spot, was a five-time All-Pro selection and a seven-time Pro Bowler. He ranks fifth all time in sacks with 141.5, and his 22.5 sacks in 2001 set a NFL single-season record. Strahan was also selected to the NFL All-Decade Team of the 2000s. And while the Hall voters often have made defensive players who played on teams that struggled for the bulk of their careers wait a little longer than some others, Williams' credentials were impeccable. The physical Williams, who played for the Cardinals and Rams, was an eight-time Pro Bowl choice and a three-time All-Pro selection. Williams, who played cornerback and safety in his career, finished with 55 career interceptions, nine of which he returned for touchdowns. His career interception total was higher than those of Deion Sanders (53) and Darrell Green (54), both Hall of Famers. Guy now has the distinction of being the first punter to be enshrined into the Hall. His eligibility as a modern-era candidate had expired, and he now joins Jan Stenerud as the only kickers in Canton. Humphrey was the league's Defensive Rookie of the Year in 1968 after being the third player picked in the draft. Although the sack was not an official league statistic until 1982 after he had retired, Humphrey has since been credited with 122 during his career. Running back Jerome Bettis, wide receiver Marvin Harrison, linebacker/defensive end Kevin Greene, defensive end Charles Haley and guard Will Shields had made the cut from 15 modern-era finalists to 10, but did not make the final cut for the Hall of Fame class. Former 49ers owner Eddie DeBartolo, wide receiver Tim Brown, safety John Lynch, coach Tony Dungy and kicker Morten Andersen did not make the cut from 15 to 10 in Saturday's selection meeting. derrick brooks, walter jones, aeneas williams, michael strahan, nfl, new york giants, buffalo bills, seattle seahawks, tampa bay buccaneers, hall of fame, hof, hall, canton, andre reed, ray guy, claude humphrey, marvin harrison, tony dungy- published: 02 Feb 2014

Houston Texans 2013 Gameday Open
Given the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to create the Houston Texans’ pre-game opening video for the debut of the world’s largest in-stadium HD video boards installed this summer at Reliant Stadium, integrated production company The Famous Group delivered a bone-crunching 3D animated battle of NFL robots designed to fire up fans.
Inspired by films such as “Transformers” and “Pacific Rim”, The Famous Group (thefamousgroup.com) developed and directed a thrilling 60-second film depicting a battle of robots representing NFL teams. 3D animation and other high-end CG work was handled by Flux Animation, Auckland, NZ (fluxmedia.co.nz/) under leadership of Jeremy Ball, who worked on CG rendering for blockbuster films including “Avatar”, “The Hobbit”, “Lord of the Rings” and others and previously served as a Technical Director at Weta Digital, one of the world’s premiere digital visual effect companies cofounded by director Sir Peter Jackson.
Shown immediately prior to kickoff at each home game, the film (https://vimeo.com/73010733) opens with a Texans‘ logo flashed by spotlight into the sky akin to the bat signal in “Batman”, which prompts a herd of 11 robotic bulls in Texans’ gear to answer the call and stampede into the stadium. Once on the field, they are met by 11 cyborgs customized in the colors and team logo of that week’s NFL opponent, and a smash-mouth battle ensues.
On the verge of defeat, the 11 opponents suddenly morph into one giant cyborg, prompting the robotic bulls transform themselves into one huge “Bulltron” robot. During the head-to-head combat, the opponent cyborg attempts to escape by flying out of the stadium, where upon the Bulltron soars up in pursuit, captures it in midair and hurls the opponent crashing down on the stadium field before letting out a triumphant roar.
“The Texans have had an animated open for 10 years which was a fan favorite, but we wanted to create something that fits the grand scale of our new boards and is a wow moment for our fans,” said Gavin Gehrt, executive producer, director of video production for the Houston Texans. “We’ve worked with The Famous Group for a number of years and put them to the creative and technical test to go all out, and they over delivered.”
“Our goal was to create the crown jewel of the Texans’ game-day visual presentation, a video to match these gigantic state-of-the-art HD boards,” said Andrew Issacson, executive producer, The Famous Group, based in Culver City, CA and New York, NY. “We developed the story line of a colossal battle of the NFL cyborgs, drafted story boards, directed the action, and partnered with some of the best CG people in the world at Flux Animation to deliver a film that’s worthy of the new boards and really gets fans revved up.”
Issacson added that as the largest supplied of in-stadium content for professional teams in all four major sports leagues, The Famous Groups has the project management experience and production efficiencies to deliver dazzling, complex work at an exceptional value.
Manufactured by Mitsubishi Electronics’ Diamond Vision Systems Division, the newly installed boards provide jitter-free HD images with 4.4 trillion colors and stretch across each end zone section of Reliant Stadium. Each screen has an image area of 52’ x 277’ for 14,549 square feet of display surface and weighs more than 100 tons.
More than a decade of strong sports experience
In addition handling in-stadium content for the last eight Super Bowls and numerous NHL All-Star Games, The Famous Group has a long track record of creating in-stadium, broadcast and digital work for dozens of NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB teams. Other recent sports work includes Draft Day events with the NFL and Nike, video and in-stadium content for a number of New York area teams (New York Giants, New York Jets, New York Knicks, New York Rangers, Brooklyn Nets and New Jersey Devils), pre-game films the St. Louis Rams and many others.
The company is also recognized for its Stats-In-A-Box statistics system, providing NFL fans with real-time fantasy football stats displayed on the stadium boards during games. The Famous Group developed the system with the NFL, and it is now in use by all 32 teams. The company offers custom templates to teams depending on the aspect ratio of their boards, or if they have special requests.

Pembroke, ON - Modded Nintendo Wiis
Regarding Nintendo Wii & Games
The games are part of custom Nintendo Wii Systems that I build. They cannot be physically separated from the system. I eliminated the need to use removable media, which makes it much easier to run the games, and makes them load faster as well. The games run directly off the Wii. Here is a video which demonstrates how easy it is to run the games.
Here's a photo of the system: http://img240.imagevenue.com/img.php?image=53298_2_122_471lo.jpg
As well, you can give the system a test run at my residence in Pembroke to ensure you are satisfied with your purchase. The cost is $350 for 200 games and the system, unless you have an a Wii system to trade in, which I can use for spare parts. In that case I can lower the price to $275.
The system comes with one controller and sometimes a nunchuck.
The hard drives in use with the system are typically 1tb External drives purchased at Staples and carry a minimum of 2-year warranties.
Should you ever wish to add new Nintendo Wii games to your system later on, you can email me a list of games and I can add them to your system (while you wait) at a cost of $10 a game (5 game minimum per visit).
If your drive ever fails, TAKE IT BACK TO STAPLES for replacement under your 5-year warranty. Once you get a new drive from them, you can bring it to me and it will take approximately 5 hours to restore all the games back to the hard drive at a cost of 50 dollars. To avoid this cost, I recommend you purchase a second external hard drive from Staples and simply copy all your files over to it for backup. Try and find, if you can, a hard drive just like the ones I buy that have 5-year warranties. They may be at Walmart and Staples but seem to disappear at times.
Software related to my installation I warranty for a year with 90% of games working. After the 1 year period, 100 dollars.
Issues pretaining to hardware need to be brought up with Nintendo. Or you can simply purchase a used Wii at a Pawn Shop for around $130 (check system settings before buying to ensure the version is 4.3u or lower [4.3k is unmoddable at this present time]), and I will re-mod the system for free. After the 1 year period, 100 dollars.
Thank-you for your consideration in buying. Although I build these system as a hobby, a lot of hard work goes into it so I thank-you for your purchase and helping fuel my passion for tinkering with electronics.
This policy is subject to change but will not affect the policy you receive at the time of your purchase.

Reggie's Prayer
Due to the death of a child involved in a robbery, football superstar, Football hall-of-famer Reggie White, known as the Minister of Defense, retires to become a coach and teacher at an inner city high school. Reggie's strong faith and love for God's children is a powerful testament. White stars as Reggie Knox, a pro football player who retires, frustrated because he hasn't won a championship. Knox begins coaching a Portland, Ore., high school football program, where he befriends a troubled student. Reggie White DE Philadelphia Eagles and Green Bay Packers nicknamed "The Minister of Defense", was a professional American football player who played defensive end for 15 seasons in the National Football League for the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers and Carolina Panthers becoming one of the most decorated players in NFL history. He also played for two seasons in the United States Football League for the Memphis Showboats. The 2-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year, 13-time Pro Bowl and 12-time All-Pro selection holds 2nd place all-time amongst career sack leaders with 198.5 (behind Bruce Smith's 200 career sacks) and was selected to the NFL 75th Anniversary All-Time Team, NFL 1990s All-Decade Team and the NFL 1980s All-Decade Team. During his professional career, he became famous not only for his outstanding play, but also for his Christian ministry as an ordained Evangelical minister. This led to his aforementioned nickname, "The Minister of Defense". White was enshrined in the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006, two years after his death.- published: 04 Sep 2013

Darren Sharper arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of rape
Former Pro Bowl safety Darren Sharper was arrested Friday in Los Angeles on suspicion of rape, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The 38-year-old Sharper was booked into the L.A. County jail and released late Friday on $200,000 bail. A court date was set for Feb. 14. LAPD said it is investigating Sharper in connection with two sexual assaults that occurred in October and earlier this month in the West Los Angeles area. The New Orleans Police Department said Saturday it also is investigating an alleged sexual complaint filed Sept. 24, 2013, against Sharper. Remi Braden, a spokesperson for the NOPD said, "as with every case alleging sexual assault, information gathered is extremely sensitive and the top priority of the detectives is to protect the person who filed the complaint. Because this is an on-going criminal investigation, we cannot provide additional information at this time." The Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office also confirmed that it has received the official report from the New Orleans Police Department and is still investigating. "New Orleans police received a complaint from an alleged victim," said DA spokesman Chris Bowman. "The police referred the case to our office for consultation. The matter is currently under investigation and we will make no further comment on any matter under investigation." Sharper, who played 14 seasons with the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers and New Orleans Saints, was suspended without pay by the NFL Network, where he works as an analyst. "Darren has been suspended without pay until further notice, effective immediately," said Alex Riethmiller, an NFL Network spokesman. Sharper and his representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment from WWL-TV in New Orleans. Prior to working for the NFL Network, Sharper served as a football analyst for WWL-TV for one month in August 2012. Acquired by the Saints prior to the 2009 season, Sharper helped fuel an opportunistic defense that helped the team reach and win the Super Bowl. Sharper had nine interceptions in that season, three of which he returned for touchdowns as the team got off to a 13-0 start, finished 13-3 and received the top playoff seed. In 2010 Sharper only played in 8 of 16 games and did not have any interceptions. That was his last year in the league. Sharper was named to five Pro Bowls and was a two-time All-Pro. He was named to the NFL All-Decade Team for the 2000s.
