As promised earlier in the year, DESERTER'S SONGS is being re-released on 180 gram vinyl with a deluxe gate-fold sleeve on the audiophile world renowned US label LIGHT IN THE ATTIC. Details are as follows:

Mercury Rev is heading back to the land Down Under for 3 performances at the very first and incredibly unique HARVEST FESTIVAL to be held in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane on November 12th, 13th and 19th. The lineup offers a staggering collection of groups and the festival's underlying premise is a welcome respite from the overcrowding and overpriced mega-fests we see too much of these days. DESERTER'S SONGS DELUXE RE-RELEASES!
MERCURY REV return in May with a deluxe double CD reissue of their classic 1998 album, DESERTER’S SONGS. The release comes complete with a 13-track bonus disc of unreleased demos and out-takes… And to coincide with and celebrate the release, Mercury Rev will be performing the album in full across much of Ireland, UK, Europe, Croatia and Turkey! DESERTER'S SONGS will be re-released on V2/CO-OP in most of the world and on Fontana in North America.

DESERTER'S SONGS has been remixed and remastered in a special Instrumental Edition, accentuating the orchestral cosmic-fantasia of rock in a full 3D cinematic scope!
The 'Deserter's Songs Instrumental Edition' will initially be offered on CD and will be available on tour, in fine record shops and online. This will mark the flagship release from Mercury Rev's own label EXCELSIOR MELODIES which is preparing to release a number of curiosities, rare exclusives, past catalog treasures and a number of new LP's by up and coming, as yet uncorrupted, uncompromising artists from this particular Universe and specifically this Solar System!
