Psalm 130 (Septuagint numbering: Psalm 129), traditionally "De profundis" from its Latin incipit, is one of the Penitential psalms.
The Hebrew transliteration of Psalm 130 is as follows:

[A Song of ascents]
This lament, a Penitential Psalm, is the De profundis used in liturgical prayers for the faithful departed in Western liturgical tradition. In deep sorrow the psalmist cries to God (1-2), asking for mercy (3-4). The psalmist's trust (5-6) becomes a model for the people (7-8).
v1. the depths: Here is a metaphor of total misery. Deep anguish makes the psalmist feel "like those who go down to the pit" (Psalm 143:7). Robert Alter points out that '..."the depths" are an epithet for the depths of the sea, which in turn is an image of the realm of death'. Other Bible passages (Creation, the dwelling of Leviathan, Jesus stilling the storm) also resonate with imagery of fear and chaos engendered by the depths of the sea.
The Book of Psalms, Tehillim in Hebrew (תְּהִלִּים or תהילים meaning "Praises"), commonly referred to simply as Psalms or "the Psalms", is the first book of the Ketuvim ("Writings"), the third section of the Hebrew Bible, and a book of the Christian Old Testament. The title is derived from the Greek translation, ψαλμοί psalmoi, meaning "instrumental music" and, by extension, "the words accompanying the music." The book is an anthology of individual psalms, with 150 in the Jewish and Western Christian tradition and more in the Eastern Christian churches. Many of the psalms are linked to the name of King David, although his authorship is not accepted by modern Bible scholars.
The Book of Psalms is divided into five sections, each closing with a doxology (i.e., a benediction) – these divisions were probably introduced by the final editors to imitate the five-fold division of the Torah:
This is the holy book of Psalms, known simply as "The Book of Psalms". The recording is dramatized, from the King James Bible. This is, in my opinion, the best and most beautiful recording of the King James Bible in existence. Thanks, blessings, honor, glory, and power to the most high God, who is the almighty creator and author of these books. To who so ever will understand, the history of "mankind" is known to have begun approximately 4.3 million years ago. The old testament of the bible is the "reported" history of a "people". Christianity, as introduced to the world by "The Way" according to the ministry of Jesus (whose date of birth was between 6 and 4 BC), began approximately at his baptism around 23-28 AD. Christianity was ultimately enforced through captivity and world domination by Romans over 300 years after the reported death of Jesus' at the cross. Check out fsmitha(dot)com for a year to year account of MANKIND'S "Macrohistory and World Report" timeline from 4.3 million years ago to 2011.
The genre of Psalms is Songs and Poetry of all kinds. It is written by multiple authors; David wrote 73, Asaph wrote 12, the sons of Korah wrote 9, Solomon wrote 3, Ethan, and Moses each wrote one (Ps. 90), and 51 of the Psalms are anonymous. They were written over the span of approximately 900 years (Beginning at the time of Moses 1440 B.C. and through the captivity in 586 B.C.). The Psalms include praises of joy, laments, blessings, and thanksgivings. They are directed at God and they help us to express and communicate ourselves to Him. We read about the Psalmist’s emotions from one extreme to another, from praising, delighting in and worshiping God with fervor, to repentance and crying out to Him in despair. Psalms sits at the very center of the Bible. The major themes found in Psalms...

Oh Lord, how many are Thy works
In wisdom Thou hast made them all
The earth is full of Thy possessions
There is the sea great and broad
In which are swarms without number
Animals both great and small
