Sotto, i numeri uno. [...]
Yep, so think of it what you will, but this thing always manages to end up being a pretty massive day as well as creating a bit of controversy. Be it not having any females...to Angus & Julia Stone winning with a song about a big fucking plane. Shannon Noll sang about a big car...didn't [...]
Gotye (pronounced "gore-ti-yeah") is simply Belgian born (now Australian) Wouter "Wally" De Backer who has been making music since a young age and releasing albums with his band The Basics as well as his own creations under his moniker. 2012 will see the release of his third solo album and probably the one that will get him the recognition he deserves. Making Mirrors is an interesting musical journey that spans sounds and genres from 502s doo wop in "I Feel Better", 802s synth with heavy vocal effect on "State of The Art" and a heavy Peter Gabriel influenced [...]

Filed under: News , Video , Exclusive , Guest Blogger YouTube It's hit your inbox, your Facebook wall and your Twitter feed a dozen times already. There's four men in black shirts (Ryan Marshall, Gianni Luminati, Mike Taylor, Joel Cassady) and one blonde woman (Sarah Blackwood). So far, so normal. Except all 10 of their hands are picking, plucking, strumming and tapping away at a single guitar simultaneously while [...]
Lady L asked: I usually dress pretty frumpy on the reg. But like what date number is it cool to dress down for? I've been dressing up for the first three and I'm over it. Dear Lady L- THAT BLOWS. Bitch, you already set the bar too high! As a real life Frumplestilskin myself, by date three I'm already wearing a cat sweatshirt. It's also a great conversation starter because it has a picture of a really fat cat and says, "LARGE AND IN CHARGE" and on the back is the picture of the [...]
13 1/2 points. That's the official line that the Las Vegas oddsmakers are saying that the Patriots will beat the Broncos with an over/under 50. In other words, odds makers are claiming that it's going to be a high scoring contest with the Patriots handing it to the Broncos. It would be a bad idea to put a small wager if you can on the Broncos to win outright. The odds are heavily not in their favor and that's where they like their chances. Their walls are against the wall and after last week's OT winner [...]

STS aka Sugar Tongue Slim put out his latest video yesterday. Titled "Cut Me Off", the video is a comical look at the story of a relationship doomed from the start. "For the past 4 weeks, Sugar Tongue Slim has been taking popular records and flipping them on their heads for his forthcoming project, GOLDRush. From Wale to Rick Ross to Lady Gaga, no record has been off limits to get flipped. Fresh off his acclaimed Kavinsky flip, STS stays in international territory and takes on Gotye with his latest release, "Cut Me Off". Reuniting with [...]
Love when mashers take 2 vocals and substitute the words for one another. Ya know, like when someone finishes your... The two sexay bitches known as The Jane Doze have done just that and have taken two of the most memorable vocals of 2011 and thrown it into one hell of a Houser. I do wish they would've kept up the momentum a little longer and maybe put in a few other memorable samples, maybe "Somebody to Love" by Queen at the end - though, that may not have fit the overall theme. Mucho [...]
Our girls in The Jane Doze have started 2012, the same way they conquered all of 2011, with INCREDIBLY well put togehter mash ups. "Kids, Set Fire To Someone That I Used To Know mixes and mashes up Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know", MGMT's "Kids", Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain", and Sebastian Ingrosso's "Kidsos" into some sort of gigantic dance floor concoction. Such a good buildup on this little nugget.
Dice Raw and STS have both independently picked up indie artist Gotye's track - Somebody That I Used To Know and tried their hands at a bit of a crossover. Dice goes in hard on

I normally hate posting freestyles, but artists like STS are an exception, especially when you attempt to rap over a chill yet emotive alternative song like Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know". Have you seen this yet?! I remember seeing that somebody had covered Gotye's original the other day and thinking to myself 'better check that out', before not doing so. I remembered to today and am I glad I did. Not only does the singing do the song justice (although it does take two people to match Gotye's range!) but the performance is out of this world awesome. Enough words now. Watch the video and below the drop find the link to buy the cover version. Thank you Walk Off The Earth and Sarah Blackwood, you have made my day. [...]
Gotye has been all over the interwebz with his original songs and countless remixes of "Somebody That I Used To Know," which made it onto to ATG's Top Tracks of 2011 list. It seemed unlikely that someone would dare turn the low-key track into a house masterpiece, but brave JoeySuki has absolutely nailed it. JoeySuki, aka Joey Lelieveld, is a 23-year-old producer from Amsterdam who has transformed the heartfelt and rather sorrowful song into a well-produced banger that burns slowly. The young man is building quite a resume, with production credits with Hardwell and Fedde Le Grand, and [...]
I'm a bit behind on this song, but it's too good to just sit on. Here's Australia's newest export, Gotye.
Watch Walk Off the Earth's viral video where the five of them cover Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used to Know' on a single acoustic guitar.
Auch wenn niemand, der in einem der bekannten Social-Networks angemeldet ist, an diesem wunderbaren Cover von Gotye's 'Somebody That I Used to Know' vorbei kam, gibt es dieses tolle von 5 Künstlern auf einer Gitarre gespielte Lied auch hier nochmal.
