Plone Sites
Amnesty International Switzerland
Amnesty International is a Nobel Prize-winning grassroots activist organization which undertakes research and action focused on preventing and ending grave abuses of human rights around the world. Since July 2006, Amnesty International Switzerland has used Plone for its multilingual (German, French, Italian, and English) website. It is based on the free add-on product BernArticle, and the sophisticated shop solution is a further development of PloneMall.
Brazilian Government
The Brazilian government is an international leader in open source. Plone powers the main websites for the Brazilian Parliament, the Brazilian President and the Brazilian Government Web Portal.
Chicago History Museum
The Chicago History Museum chose Contextual Corporation and its partner SPR Inc. to help it relaunch its website on the Plone CMS platform 2006. Through 2009, Contextual has provided continued support, including Plone upgrades, integration with other sites and tools, and performance optimizations. This site launch was timed to coincide with the Museum's 150th anniversary reopening, rebranding (formerly the Chicago Historical Society) and with a blitz of advertising on radio, print, and the web (not to mention ads on the side of Greyhound buses all over Chicago.)
Columbia Center for New Media Teaching and Learning
Columbia University is using Plone for a variety of projects, including as a course CMS in the Columbia Journalism School, which publishes the Columbia News Service, in the Dental School as an e-porfolio tool, and also as an internal rapid application development platform.
Connexions
Connexions, a project at Rice University, is a place to view and share educational material made of small knowledge chunks called modules that can be organized as courses, books, reports, etc. Anyone may view or contribute.
DISCOVER magazine
DISCOVER magazine, the leading popular science magazine in the US, hired Abstract Edge to create a new website that would be more compelling to its community and subscribers. This high-traffic site, developed on the open source Plone content management system, contains every article of every issue since 1992, categorized, related and searchable, and allows DISCOVER to take advantage of blogging, podcasting, photo galleries, and video technologies, and greatly facilitates the publication of the online magazine.

The Qt Software part of Nokia (earlier known as Trolltech) makes software frameworks to make the lives of software developers easier. Jarn built their website, intranet and collaborative project spaces for improved internal communication, all in collaboration with their internal tech-team whom we coached throughout the process.

It was established following World War II and its first concrete result was the introduction in 1952 of a common labour market and free movement across borders without passports for the countries' citizens.
