"Its the Climate" in Occupy Grants Pass

Occupy Grants Pass (formerly known as the Stand for Peace) drew a crowd I'd estimate at about 100 people today on a cool, rainy afternoon. There were folks on both sides of 6th Street at the Courthouse and lots of honking and thumbs up from the drivers passing by! It was inspirational in a small, conservative town to see all those folks with their "We Are the 99%" and "Corporations Are Not People" signs.

We even did a march over to 7th Street and down five or six blocks and then back up 6th Street, chanting "You are the 99%; we are the 99%!" It was wonderful. Wish I'd had my camera with me.

Next Thursday will be Thanksgiving, so, of course, there won’t be a rally that day, but those of you who live in or near Josephine County should make plans to join Occupy Grants Pass from 3 to 4:30 pm or part of that time on Thursday, December 1st.
