November 12 2011 Concert in Kelowna, BC,Canada.   On November 12 2011, Les McKeown's Birthday, a highly energetic crowd showed up at the Kelowna Theatre ready to party to the infectious music of his Legendary Bay City Rollers. From the moment he hit the stage through to the final encore the entire evening was magic. Les McKeown’s voice is an amazing instrument, and there wasn't a note from the entire repertoire of the Bay City Rollers that he wasn't able to hit with ease, and now, with maturity, the empathy that he delivers songs like "Dedication" with is completely captivating. The arranging of the songs and the all star group of musicians that make up his Legendary Bay City Rollers are equally outstanding. By the time they played SATURDAY NIGHT the entire theatre had become one big time machine and we were all felt like 18 year old kids again, the energy in the room was palpable and no one wanted the evening to end. After the show, Les and his entire band signed autographs and took pictures with fans, until the very last person in the lobby had a chance to get their picture taken and have their CD signed. Both on and off the stage, Les McKeown and his Legendary Bay City Rollers are a first class operation, and as the manager of a performing arts theatre, they are the exact kind of entertainment and people that I love to work with. I'd bring them back in a heartbeat, I just hope they tour through our part of the world again very soon.
