Norway (
i/ˈnɔːrweɪ/ NAWR-way; Norwegian: 
Norge (Bokmål) or Noreg (Nynorsk)), officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a sovereign and unitary monarchy whose territory comprises the western portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula plus the island Jan Mayen and the archipelago of Svalbard. The Antarctic Peter I Island and the sub-Antarctic Bouvet Island are dependent territories and thus not considered part of the Kingdom. Norway also lays claim to a section of Antarctica known as Queen Maud Land. Until 1814, the Kingdom included the Faroe Islands (since 1035), Greenland (1261), and Iceland (1262). It also included Shetland and Orkney until 1468.
Norway has a total area of 385,252 square kilometres (148,747 sq mi) and a population of 5,109,059 people (2014). The country shares a long eastern border with Sweden (1,619 km or 1,006 mi long). Norway is bordered by Finland and Russia to the north-east, and the Skagerrak Strait to the south, with Denmark on the other side. Norway has an extensive coastline, facing the North Atlantic Ocean and the Barents Sea.

Norway Pavilion at Epcot
The Norway Pavilion is a Norway-themed pavilion that is part of the World Showcase, within Epcot at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida. Its location is between the Mexican and Chinese Pavilions.
Layout
The 58,000-square-foot (5,400 m2) Norway Pavilion is designed to look like a Norwegian village. The village includes a detailed Stave church, and the exterior of its main table-service restaurant, Restaurant Akershus, resembles its namesake in Oslo. The exhibit showcases 4 styles of Norwegian architecture: Setesdal-style, Bergen-style, Oslo-style and Ålesund-style.
Much of the pavilion is taken up by interconnected shops. These shops are decorated with large wooden trolls and sell assorted Norwegian goods, including clothing, candy, and statuettes of Norse gods and trolls. The courtyard of the pavilion contains the entrance to Maelstrom, a boat ride into Norway's past and present. Kringla Bakeri og Kafé is a bakery, featuring assorted Norwegian pastries, such as cream horns and open-faced salmon sandwiches. The courtyard contains the entrance to Restaurant Akershus, featuring a hot and cold buffet and "Princess Storybook Dining."

Finally, after having to put this tour off for a year, I'm on my way. I am leaving Amsterdam and heading to Groningen first, as I want to break the journey into manageable pieces. The first phase is to reach Kiel in Germany. That's already a ride of 560km. In Kiel from the Port, I take the ferry to Gothenburg in Sweden. After visiting my friends in Åsa, I hit the road again and stayed at a hotel, still on the Swedish side, but close to the Norwegian border. After a lovely stay, I hit the road again and travelled up the E6 towards Oslo and Hamar. From Hamar to Trondheim and through to Namsskogan. It's taken 7 days to reach this far and close to 1800 km's excluding the Kiel ferry nautical miles. I hope you enjoy this first episode of my Norwegian epic tour, as much as I enjoyed filmin...

On the northwestern tip of Prince Edward Island is North Cape. You're treated to stunning views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence while exploring the jagged coastlines as erosion continues to carve the landscape of the island. The once famous elephant rock was once a big tourist attraction in the area (Norway, P.E.I.) but collapsed several years ago due to erosion. What's left of it is featured in this video. North Cape is also dotted with several wind turbines with the electricity generated at the farm being distributed to residents living on the island. Surviving another Winter of Extreme Van Life in Blizzard, Snow Storm & Camping in Freezing Temperatures. 2024 Arctic tour. I am riding around on this arctic island, no plow truck in sight. Very beautiful days with no need to hunker down sheltering from "tornado" blizzards or hurricanes that I have survived earlier in the winter out here in Arctic Lofoten. This is truly a Cozy Van Life Winter Snow Camping Adventure with the most amazing "secret" camp sites. Includes Stunning DJI Drone relaxing Aerial, Northern Lights & Freezing Temperatures. My van is a Sunlight build Fiat Ducato, FWD with Nokian Hakkapalitta studless Winter Tires. This is the same as a Ram Promaster in America - USA and Canada, but with a diesel engine.

This is my complete second winter of Winter Van Life in extreme conditions in the North, living in a van during freezing temperatures. Starting in November I go through the whole winter season of snowy winter adventures from November to April, with snow storms, blizzards, extreme cold, extreme snowfall, slippery roads and some amazing winter beauty as well.
I also show you what I learn as I go from my second winter in the van.

Its southern shore bounds the Northumberland Strait. The island has two urban areas. The larger surrounds Charlottetown Harbour, situated centrally on the island's southern shore, and consists of the capital city Charlottetown, and suburban towns Cornwall and Stratford and a developing urban fringe. A much smaller urban area surrounds Summerside Harbour, situated on the southern shore 40 km (25 mi) west of Charlottetown Harbour, and consists primarily of the city of Summerside. As with all natural harbours on the island, Charlottetown and Summerside harbours are created by rias. Enjoy the video.

Maelstrom Boat Ride at Epcot Full POV in 8K | Classic Walt Disney World Upscaled and Remastered
In this video we'll take a ride on the classic Epcot ride Maelstrom. This video footage has been remastered and upscaled into 8K and 60fps (frames per second). Maelstrom was a dark boat ride in the Norway pavilion at Epcot, (part of the Walt Disney World resort) and was in operation from July 5th, 1988 until October 5th, 2014. Epcot's World Showcase Norway Pavilion Tour
The Norway Pavilion is a Norwegian-themed pavilion that is part of the World Showcase, within Epcot at Walt Disney World.The 58,000-square-foot (5,400 m2) Norway Pavilion is designed to look like a Norwegian village.[citation needed] The village includes a detailed reproduction Stave church, and the exterior of its main table-service restaurant, Restaurant Akershus, resembles its namesake in Oslo. The exhibit showcases 4 styles of Norwegian architecture: Setesdal-style, Bergen-style, Oslo-style and Ålesund-style. Much of the pavilion is taken up by interconnected shops. Maelstrom was a dark boat ride in the Norway pavilion at Epcot, (part of the Walt Disney World resort) and was in operation from July 5th, 1988 until October 5th, 2014. The ride closed to be replaced by Frozen Ever After.

The Norway Pavilion is a Norwegian-themed pavilion that is part of the World Showcase, within Epcot at Walt Disney World.The 58,000-square-foot (5,400 m2) Norway Pavilion is designed to look like a Norwegian village.[citation needed] The village includes a detailed reproduction Stave church, and the exterior of its main table-service restaurant, Restaurant Akershus, resembles its namesake in Oslo. The exhibit showcases 4 styles of Norwegian architecture: Setesdal-style, Bergen-style, Oslo-style and Ålesund-style.
Much of the pavilion is taken up by interconnected shops. These shops are decorated with large wooden trolls and sell assorted Norwegian goods, including clothing, candy, and statuettes of Norse gods and trolls. The courtyard of the pavilion contains the entrance to Frozen Ever After. Kringla Bakeri og Kafé is a bakery, featuring assorted Norwegian pastries, such as cream horns and open-faced salmon sandwiches. The courtyard contains the entrance to Restaurant Akershus, featuring a hot and cold buffet and "Princess Storybook Dining."
In September 2014, Disney officials announced that the Maelstrom attraction would be closed and renovated into a new attraction based upon the company's hit animated film, Frozen. Frozen Ever After, which opened in 2016, features the same ride vehicles and basic cou'rse of the original attraction, but with scenes inspired by the film and the Frozen Fever animated short. Due to the popularity and immediate fan base Frozen drew, plans to add the "Frozen Ever After" attraction to the Norway pavilion were set with a very short construction time, this is a major reason why the attraction will so closely resemble the "Maelstrom" attraction previously in its place. The addition of "Frozen Ever After" is intended to bring more attention to Epcot, as well as the Scandinavian culture represented throughout the Norway pavilion.

Finally, after having to put this tour off for a year, I'm on my way. I am leaving Amsterdam and heading to Groningen first, as I want to break the journey into manageable pieces.
The first phase is to reach Kiel in Germany. That's already a ride of 560km.
In Kiel from the Port, I take the ferry to Gothenburg in Sweden. After visiting my friends in Åsa, I hit the road again and stayed at a hotel, still on the Swedish side, but close to the Norwegian border.
After a lovely stay, I hit the road again and travelled up the E6 towards Oslo and Hamar.
From Hamar to Trondheim and through to Namsskogan. It's taken 7 days to reach this far and close to 1800 km's excluding the Kiel ferry nautical miles. I hope you enjoy this first episode of my Norwegian epic tour, as much as I enjoyed filming it. #canamonroad #solo #norwaytrip

Norway
Norway (i/ˈnɔːrweɪ/ NAWR-way; Norwegian: Norge (Bokmål) or Noreg (Nynorsk)), officially the Kingdom of Norway, is a sovereign and unitary monarchy whose territory comprises the western portion of the Scandinavian Peninsula plus the island Jan Mayen and the archipelago of Svalbard. The Antarctic Peter I Island and the sub-Antarctic Bouvet Island are dependent territories and thus not considered part of the Kingdom. Norway also lays claim to a section of Antarctica known as Queen Maud Land. Until 1814, the Kingdom included the Faroe Islands (since 1035), Greenland (1261), and Iceland (1262). It also included Shetland and Orkney until 1468.
Norway has a total area of 385,252 square kilometres (148,747 sq mi) and a population of 5,109,059 people (2014). The country shares a long eastern border with Sweden (1,619 km or 1,006 mi long). Norway is bordered by Finland and Russia to the north-east, and the Skagerrak Strait to the south, with Denmark on the other side. Norway has an extensive coastline, facing the North Atlantic Ocean and the Barents Sea.

On the northwestern tip of Prince Edward Island is North Cape. You're treated to stunning views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence while exploring the jagged coastlines as erosion continues to carve the landscape of the island. The once famous elephant rock was once a big tourist attraction in the area (Norway, P.E.I.) but collapsed several years ago due to erosion. What's left of it is featured in this video. North Cape is also dotted with several wind turbines with the electricity generated at the farm being distributed to residents living on the island. It's a great place to explore on the trail or along the coast with your camera.

This is my complete second winter of Winter Van Life in extreme conditions in the North, living in a van during freezing temperatures. Starting in November I go through the whole winter season of snowy winter adventures from November to April, with snow storms, blizzards, extreme cold, extreme snowfall, slippery roads and some amazing winter beauty as well.
I also show you what I learn as I go from my second winter in the van.

Prince Edward Island is located in the Gulf of St. Lawrence, west of Cape Breton Island, north of the Nova Scotia peninsula, and east of New Brunswick. Its southern shore bounds the Northumberland Strait. The island has two urban areas. The larger surrounds Charlottetown Harbour, situated centrally on the island's southern shore, and consists of the capital city Charlottetown, and suburban towns Cornwall and Stratford and a developing urban fringe. A much smaller urban area surrounds Summerside Harbour, situated on the southern shore 40 km (25 mi) west of Charlottetown Harbour, and consists primarily of the city of Summerside. As with all natural harbours on the island, Charlottetown and Summerside harbours are created by rias. Enjoy the video.

In this video we'll take a ride on the classic Epcot ride Maelstrom. This video footage has been remastered and upscaled into 8K and 60fps (frames per second).
Maelstrom was a dark boat ride in the Norway pavilion at Epcot, (part of the Walt Disney World resort) and was in operation from July 5th, 1988 until October 5th, 2014. The ride closed to be replaced by Frozen Ever After.

The Norway Pavilion is a Norwegian-themed pavilion that is part of the World Showcase, within Epcot at Walt Disney World.The 58,000-square-foot (5,400 m2) Norway Pavilion is designed to look like a Norwegian village.[citation needed] The village includes a detailed reproduction Stave church, and the exterior of its main table-service restaurant, Restaurant Akershus, resembles its namesake in Oslo. The exhibit showcases 4 styles of Norwegian architecture: Setesdal-style, Bergen-style, Oslo-style and Ålesund-style.
Much of the pavilion is taken up by interconnected shops. These shops are decorated with large wooden trolls and sell assorted Norwegian goods, including clothing, candy, and statuettes of Norse gods and trolls. The courtyard of the pavilion contains the entrance to Frozen Ever After. Kringla Bakeri og Kafé is a bakery, featuring assorted Norwegian pastries, such as cream horns and open-faced salmon sandwiches. The courtyard contains the entrance to Restaurant Akershus, featuring a hot and cold buffet and "Princess Storybook Dining."
In September 2014, Disney officials announced that the Maelstrom attraction would be closed and renovated into a new attraction based upon the company's hit animated film, Frozen. Frozen Ever After, which opened in 2016, features the same ride vehicles and basic cou'rse of the original attraction, but with scenes inspired by the film and the Frozen Fever animated short. Due to the popularity and immediate fan base Frozen drew, plans to add the "Frozen Ever After" attraction to the Norway pavilion were set with a very short construction time, this is a major reason why the attraction will so closely resemble the "Maelstrom" attraction previously in its place. The addition of "Frozen Ever After" is intended to bring more attention to Epcot, as well as the Scandinavian culture represented throughout the Norway pavilion.
