Neujahrsgrüsse 2012

Geschrieben von entdinglichung am 31. Dezember 2011

Red greeting to all who fight for generalized emancipation and the overthrow of all forms of oppression and exploitation: for a revolutionary year 2012 in which this website will commemorate the anniversaries of birth and death of the radical poet Percy Bysshe Shelley (1792-1822)!

Percy Bysse Shelley: Ozymandias (1817)

I met a traveller from an antique land
Who said: — Two vast and trunkless legs of stone
Stand in the desert… Near them, on the sand,
Half sunk, a shattered visage lies, whose frown,
And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command,
Tell that its sculptor well those passions read
Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things,
The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed:
And on the pedestal these words appear:
‚My name is Ozymandias, king of kings:
Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!‘
Nothing beside remains. Round the decay
Of that colossal wreck, boundless and bare
The lone and level sands stretch far away.

Aus den Grundsätzen neoliberaler Wirtschaftspolitik (nach Walter Eucken)

Geschrieben von entdinglichung am 30. Dezember 2011

Quelle: Bernhard Keller: Wirtschaftstheorie und Wirtschaftspolitik in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Frankfurt/Main (Diesterweg) 1981, S. 25:

Egyptian Anarchists and Revolutionary Socialists under attack

It’s about time! For weeks, several internet sites, and facebook pages that belong to the Muslim Brotherhood, either officially or administered by its members, launched an attack against Anarchists and Revolutionary Socialists in Egypt trying to single them out as inciters of violence and propagandists of state demolition. Today, a member of the Brotherhood filed a lawsuit against three socialists, one of them is comrade Yaser Abdel Kawy, a well known anarchist and a member of the Egyptian Libertarian Socialists Movement. The General Attorney forwarded the lawsuit to the State Security GA, an exceptional apparatus of the legal system that works only under a state of emergency.

It sure was expected. While small in numbers, Anarchists in Egypt have been quite prominent amongst the different revolutionary forces taking part in the Jan25 Egyptian revolution. Anarchists are distinguishably vocal on the social media sites, but more importantly they are always in the front lines on the streets whenever revolutionaries take a stand in the face of the brutal crackdown of the state.

The uneasy but strong alliance between the Brotherhood and the ruling military junta has been evident since the very beginning. The Brotherhood was the only political force that had one of its members in the legislative committee responsible for preparing the modifications of the 1971 constitution approved by a referendum on March 19th. The brotherhood refused to take part almost in any rally against the Supreme Council of Armed Forces (SCAF), and in many cases sought to tarnish these rallies and attack those who called for them.

The Brotherhood, had also taken an aggressive stance against laborers in their continuous struggle against the masters backed by the military junta. It has always condemned workers rallies, sit-ins, or occupations, and described the workers fight for their rights as counter-revolutionary and incited by clients of Mubarak’s regime.

Poised for a landslide victory in the current parliamentary elections along with the more radical Salafi Islamists, the Brotherhood is keen on getting rid of future opposition, namely socialists. It’s easy to know why if one takes a look at the policies that their counterparts in Tunisia have adopted once confident in their new seats in the parliament. It’s even clearer when one takes notice of their prominent leaders’ (mostly businessmen) statements to the media, especially ones describing the neoliberal financial and economic policies of Mubarak’s regime as good and effective, if not coupled with corruption and crony capitalism.

We are sure that these new attacks by the SCAF and its Islamist allies are nothing but an early beginning. A new phase of the Egyptian Revolution is already starting to take shape. This time the true conflict lines will be clear for all after being only clear for some. The Egyptian Revolution will take its true face of a class war of us the proletariat against them, the masters, the military junta, and the conservative fascist Islamists.

Ein Statement der Syrian Revolutionary Left Tendency

Geschrieben von entdinglichung am 29. Dezember 2011

gefunden auf International Viewpoint:

Unite for the success of the mass national general strike: The strike of dignity!

Declaration from Damascus of the Syrian Revolutionary Left Tendency

A collective call for the mass general strike which will begin on December 11, 2011 has been launched. This call is the first common initiative of all the structures and groups engaged in the popular revolution, which constitutes in itself a significant positive development for the unification of popular and political energies in the revolution against the regime of arbitrariness, oppression and exploitation. We consider that this amounts to a qualitative step towards its fall.

We call on all the comrades, group and persons of the left engaged in the permanent popular revolution, as well as all those who support liberty, equality and social justice, to participate effectively and seriously in the success of the mass general strike— the strike of dignity — and to consider it as an important and essential step on the path of the reappropriation by the masses of the initiative to decide the destiny and future of their country. It is necessary to appeal broadly and participate, to organise seriously and effectively everywhere we are. Participation presupposes setting up action committees common to all the forces and individuals involved to realise the best organisation and management of everyday life.

The future of our people and of its country can only be decided on by the masses of our country. The fall of the regime and the building of a Syria of liberty and justice are up to the insurgent popular masses now and to those who will not fail to rally to the revolution shortly. It is our stake, it is the path to the victory, liberty and sovereignty of our people. The mass general strike will lead there.

The regime of the ruling clique has failed to break the determination of the insurgent masses just as it has failed to lead them into the hell of confessional or civil war, or to make weapons the sole expression of confrontation. Nor has it succeeded in diverting the masse who count on their determination to bring it down or in making them believe that armed foreign intervention would be their sole salvation… It has failed in all its attempts to crush or to divert the magnificent popular revolution… and it finds itself today as in the first days of the revolution face to face with an insurgent people which will not delay in bringing it down and wiping out this dark stain in the history of our country.

Let’s participate together in the mass general strike, the strike of dignity, until the fall of the regime and victory!

We call for a united front of all the forces of the revolution to bring down this bloodthirsty regime!

We call for the unification of the revolutionary left!

Long live the struggle of the Syrian popular masses for the fall of the regime and for liberty, democracy, social justice and equality!

Long live the Arab permanent popular revolutions!

Karl Kautsky: Der Ursprung des Christentums (1908)

Geschrieben von entdinglichung am 26. Dezember 2011

neu im Marxists Internet Archive (MIA): Der Ursprung des Christentums: Eine historische Untersuchung von Karl Kautsky aus dem Jahre 1908:

aus dem Vorwort:

„…
