RQA-170's design confirms US ill intent

January 3, 2012 by legitgov

RQA-170's design confirms US ill intent 02 Jan 2012 Iran's former Defense Minister says sensors used in a US RQ-170 spy drone, which was recently captured in eastern Iran, clearly prove that it had been designed to violate the country's airspace. Rear Admiral Ali Shamkhani said if the drone was meant to carry out spy missions along the Afghan border, it must have only carried photographic sensors because it would not need a monitoring system as well as thermal and spectrometer sensors which have been found in RQ-170. "Meanwhile, such advanced planes are only available to the CIA and even America's Defense Ministry, the Pentagon, does not have such drones," he added.

L.A. arson suspect Harry Burkhart arrested 03 Jan 2012 They erupted almost simultaneously, a sudden barrage of fires about 1:30 a.m. Monday that signaled the fourth night of the city's arson rampage... Hours before the fires began, U.S. State Department officials had alerted authorities to a man connected to arson fires in Germany, according to law enforcement sources. The man had recently made a scene at a Los Angeles Immigration Court hearing and looked much like a "person of interest" caught earlier on a surveillance tape in a Hollywood parking structure. Law enforcement sources, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the suspect, 24-year-old German citizen Harry Burkhart, has lived in Southern California for the last several years.

Obama signs police state legislation

Obama signs police state legislation By Patrick Martin 03 Jan 2012 President Barack Obama signed the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) into law on New Year's Eve... The NDAA effectively revokes the oldest democratic right, habeas corpus, which bars arbitrary imprisonment by requiring that the government present evidence to a judge or court to justify taking a person into custody... Under the new law, the president of the United States can designate any individual, whether an American citizen, resident alien, or citizen of any other country, to be arrested and detained for life by the US military. Even more ominously, Obama has already asserted an even more drastic power--the "right" to assassinate any American citizen designated by the president as an "enemy combatant," without trial or charge.

Iowa officials brace for Occupy protests 02 Jan 2012 Republicans across Iowa are bracing for trouble on Tuesday, concerned that caucus sites will be the next stop for the Occupy protesters who've staged demonstrations and disruptions at election events across the state. Occupy leaders say they're not planning to interfere with the voting, though they expect actions leading up the vote at candidates' headquarters and afterward at victory parties. Iowa state Rep. Clel Baudler (R) predicted that potential protesters at his caucus site in Adair County should expect a response that "will be swift and it will be sure. Since I'm not a state trooper anymore, they probably won't be handcuffed - but I have friends," Baudler said. "If an officer asks for help, I will help, believe me..." Baudler said. "A little thump therapy never hurt anybody." [Occupiers: Time to *thump back.*]

[They already have, dirt-bag.] Talking to NBC television's "Meet the Press," Santorum said he would tell the Iranian leaders to either open up those facilities, begin to dismantle them and make them available to the inspectors - or the US would attack them. The remarks come as the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has conducted numerous inspections of Iran's nuclear facilities, but has never found any evidence indicating that Tehran's nuclear program has been diverted towards weapons production.
