Welcome to the LDA

We are the Mayor of London's agency responsible for driving London's sustainable economic growth. It's our job to ensure that London remains a global success story.

LDA Transition and Closure

In June 2010 the Government announced that Regional Development Agencies (RDAs) are to be abolished, including the London Development Agency (LDA) by 31 March 2012.

In response to the Mayor of London's proposals on devolution, the Government has agreed that the functions of the LDA should be folded into the Greater London Authority (GLA) along with its assets and liabilities. The LDA is now focusing on transition and closure.
