Demonstrators outside the BNP’s old HQ in Welling, southeast London. Demands for its closure reached fever pitch after four racist murders in the area, including that of Stephen Lawrence.

Out-foxing the Führer

Ray Hill, one of the most famous of Searchlight’s “moles”, who operated inside the far right in Britain and South Africa, marching with John Tyndall shortly after the formation of the BNP. His story was told in a 1984 TV documentary and a book published in 1988.

Muslims and Jews together

In 1936 Catholics and Jews joined to stop Oswald Mosley’s Blackshirts in the Battle of Cable Street. In 2011 Muslims and Jews stand shoulder to shoulder against today’s fascists.
