Hyperfine Spectroscopy of Antihydrogen. The Stefan Meyer Institute of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, together with Japanese and Italian researchers of the ASACUSA collaboration at the Antiproton Decelerator of CERN, is measuring a property of antihydrogen, the simplest atom made entirely of antimatter. By comparing this quantity called ground-state hyperfine structure to the well known value of hydrogen, one of the most sensitive test of matter-antimatter symmetry can be performed.- published: 29 Aug 2013
