All-Time Biggest Dating Mistakes on ‘The Millionaire Matchmaker’

Patti Stanger is "The Millionaire Matchmaker" diva extraordinaire, but sometimes not even she can save these clueless millionaires from themselves. If you're like me, you may have found yourself yelling at the screen, exasperate with these misguided moguls. However, over I've noticed some self-defeating patterns and I've narrowed down their biggest mistakes:

Going for the Hottie: One of the biggest mistakes the millionaires make is being blinded by the "hottie patottie." The most glaring example could be season four's Robin Krassner (the Hello Kitty Millionairess), who chose to take out a hot plumber rather than the perfectly wonderful police officer at the mixer. No surprise, their "relationship" did not last long.

Running Away from People Their Own Age: Can any of us forget the moment when Shauna literally turned and ran away from her hunky date because he looked a little too old for her? Leaving her very expensive heel behind? What Patti terms as 'ageism,' has been detrimental to many of the millionaires, who missed out on potential mates because of preconceived ideas about what age means to them.

Deciding to Forego a Traditional First Date: Some of these crazy millionaires decided to make their dates as uncomfortable as possible on their first date. Most painful to watch was last season's Omar, who took his date to haul junk! The confusion and disappointment was almost palpable through the TV screen. Next on the ill-conceived dating list may be millionairess Nicole, who subjected her date to a "toxic tour" of Los Angeles. Nothing says love like a sightseeing trip of death.

TMI: Some of these millionaires just lead with too much personal information on a first date. Pole dancing, former child star Emma is a prime example. Rather than greet her date with a smile and a wave, she decided to do a striptease. Emma's date didn't have a chance to get to know her before she accosted him with her 'primary assets' and effectively ended the date before it began.

Sure, these millionaires and millionairesses may have business savvy and a hefty wallet to wave around - but those things can't buy you the emotional maturity to find true love. If these past seasons of "The Millionaire Matchmaker" have taught us anything, it's that Patti Stanger still has her work cut out for her.
