A Kashmiri boy separates rotten apples from freshly harvested apples in an orchard on October 02, 2011 in Tral 40 Km (24 miles) south of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, India. Kashmir's orchards produce 1.2 million tons of apples annually, the second largest in India. 800,000 tons of the produce is exported to other parts of India and the rest consumed locally. Experts report that apple production in Kashmir despite the low turnout demand is expected to be in higher from Asian markets due to recent weather issues have had poor apple crops.
