Voidokilia Beach and Paliokastro - Costa Navarino - Pylos
Voidokilia Beach and Paliokastro (Old Navarino Castle), Costa Navarino, Greece VOIDOKILIA (Βοϊδοκοιλιά) Beach, Bay, Curve or Cove is not only one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, but maybe also in the Mediterranean Sea Is hidden behind sand dunes, which seem to be protecting its secret of magic beauty. The beach of outstanding beauty lies beneath the Old Frankish castle (Paliokastro) and the cave of King Nestor. PALIOKASTRO, PALEOKASTRO or PALAIOKASTRO (Παλιοναβαρίνο) Palionavarino (old Navarino castle) The old castle/fortress of Paliokastro was built by the Franks around 1278 / 13th (it seems position built on the ruins of a ancient Acropolis from the Pylos-Koryphasion city of Classical period), is situated the north side of Navarino bay, on the top of the hill (this promontory called Koryphasion -or Coryphasion-). The castle is ruin, but the outside walls and his round and square towers is saved in a good condition. ____ Costa Navarino, Pylos, Peloponnese, Messinia, Greece. Pylos, Greece
Pylos, Greece
Here is a view of where the Aegean and Ionian Seas meet at Pylos, Greee. Located in the far Southern mainland, Pylos is an extremely picturesque town with a lot of historical significance. This video shows Navarino Bay, where the historic Battle of Navarino took place -- the most important naval battle of the Greek War of Independance (almost the entire Turkish Fleet was sunk by a combined British, Russian and French fleet). You can also see Sfacteria Island in the near distance, where during the Pelopennesian War the Spartan arm suffered its only land defeat to Athens (425 BC).

Pylos - a game you ought to try...
This is not a genious game, we just hurried through it. Pylos! It was enormous fun. The one who gets their colour on top wiiins... ^. ^ (me this time) If you get four in a square or for in a row at the base, four in a square or three in a row at the second layer, then you get to pick up two of your own balls. It gets tricky.
