Plot: Paras (Mahipal) is lost at sea when his father's ship enters into a storm. Paras is rescued by a poor villager, who brings him up as his own. Paras grows up and accomplishes himself as a swordsman and a singer. His fame soon reaches the palace, and the emperor summons him to sing for him, which he does. Pleased with his singing, the emperor asks him for a wish, and Paras asks for the hand of his daughter (Gitanjali). Enraged, the emperor decides to punish Paras. When his plans do not succeed, he plans to kill Paras, however, Paras escapes, and in the bargain ends up rescuing the the princess, who falls in love with him. Appearing defeated, the emperor asks Paras to seek a rare gem, and if he does so, then only can be marry his daughter. Paras agrees, but he has no clue as to the whereabouts of this rare gem, neither does anyone he knows.

Plot: When the Maharaja is ousted by an intruder, his wife and two sons, Badal and Jingu, flee. Badal gets separated while Jingu and his mother survive in near destitute conditions. Years later, Jingu has grown up to be a strong, muscled man, and sets out to seek Badal. Instead he encounters the region's wrestler, King Kong, over-powers him, and is crowned the new 'King Kong'. The Maharaja wants to honor him, but Jingu's mother distrusts this move and cautions her son. Jingu accordingly rejects the Maharaja's offer much to his chagrin, and he plots with his conniving Senapati to kill Jingu at any and all costs.

Plot: Saranga lives a wealthy lifestyle in Ambavati along with her father, Nagar Seth, and step-mother, Nagar Sethani, and she in love and wants to marry Rajkumar Sadabaksh. She is unhappy when told that her marriage has already been arranged with Sethani's brother, Gyanchand. Initially Nagar opposes this alliance, but changes his mind after Sethani threatens to kill herself. He then goes to the Raja and gets him to promise that he will forbid his son from seeing Saranga. Plot: Avanti Nagar residents worship Devi Maa Chandika and sacrifice humans and animals to appease Her. When Raja Krantivarma bans this sacrifice, his very own Rajguru rebels and incites a group of religious zealots to assassinate him. They chose Yashodharma for this gruesome task, which he carries out by stabbing the king to death. But shortly thereafter, Yashodharma is apprehended with the assistance of Rajguru himself, and after the coronation ceremony of Maharani Mohini, is sentenced to be tortured, killed, and his remains fed to dogs. Mohini also orders death to the rest of Yashodharma's family, namely his son, Madhavgupta, and daughter, Sumitra. Madhavgupta is apprehended, while Sumitra goes to take shelter in a monastery. Acting on the orders of the Rajguru, amidst rising animosity between Hindus and Buddhists, she orders that the next human sacrifice be none other than Madhavgupta himself.
