Young and talented Maring Tribe performed their cultural war dance during Naga Fest 2012. which comes in news paper headline next day: Naga fest enthrals Delhi ; MARING WAR DANCE Post Bureau, New Delhi (Sept 19): The War Dance performed by Maring Naga tribe from Manipur's Chandel district along with exhilarated performance by different musical bands from across the Northeast on Wednesday enthralled thousands of people participating at the Naga festival at Delhi's Talkatora stadium. Along with music and dance, the mouth-watering indigenous Naga food had also attracted the participants. "It was really a good evening for me. In a place like Delhi we hardly get such opportunity to enjoy the tribal culture and food," said Puja Mishra, a student of Delhi University who came to the festival along with her friends. Organised by the USA-based Indigenous Foundation in association with the Naga Indigenous people, the festival was an attempt to introduce the tribal culture, tradition and food to the rest of the country. "Organising a festival of this kind in Delhi will certainly help the people from cross section of the society to have a thorough knowledge on the Naga culture," David Regnier, a senior member of the Indigenous Foundation, told the Seven Sisters Post. "Nagas are one of the most cultured tribes. We are expecting to organise similar tribal festivals in different countries including the USA and Mexico," Regnier added.
