Schools Go Cashless With EduBills Online Payment Solution EduBills launches on the “7th Business Day of Christmas” EduBills offers parents an online solution to paying school bills, buying school books and other one-off costs in a safe and convenient way. It aims to make life easier for parents, reduce administration time for schools and increase school and pupil safety by removing cash from the equation. EduBills is being launched as part of the “The 12 Business Days of Christmas” running from 1st to 20th of December. The initiative, created by DCU Business School and LINK, the Leadership, Innovation and Knowledge Research Centre, is supported by AIB. Helping kick-start brand awareness of the12 new Internet companies, the initiative highlights a new company each day from a range of industries including: mobile application design, e-commerce, and web TV. Sandra Maguire, Founder of EduBills, said “I came up with the idea while working in my children’s school. A schools secretary’s time is often needlessly consumed administrating payments from parents. As well, young pupils are burdened with carrying sums of cash to school and parents are can be concerned for the safety of their children. EduBills helps streamline this process online making life easier for both parents and schools.” EduBills further helps reduce administration time by simplifying the reporting of payments through schools unique account. The introduction of a cashless payment solution reduces human error and offers transparency for parents. EduBills is currently rolling out the online payment solution across Ireland, aiming to enter the large UK schools market in the near future.
