Can’t disable comments for certain post in WordPress because the custom field in WordPress dissapears after upgrading it? Well, it is not because of the theme, it is simply because the screen options are unchecked. To enable custom fields in WordPress, follow this tutorial:

  • Step 1 – Check out the ‘Screen Option’ at the upper right corner
  • Step 2 – Enable the Custom Field option

Simple, this is pretty much a straight forward troubleshooting. Once checked, the settings are default, if the settings kept on reverting to the default, you might want to clear your cache or disable APC Cache.

I’m on a WinVista PC. I was able previously able to drag-and-drop files between FZ and windows explorer. FZ did it’s usual update/check/install tonight and now I’m not able to drag-and-drop files anymore.

Can’t drag and drop files between FileZilla and Windows Desktop? If you’re having problem dragging files to your desktop or any folder after updating FileZilla to the latest version, chances are the shell extension was not installed properly. To troubleshoot this problem, try the following:

  • Step 1 – Download FileZilla, if you already have the setup file, double click and re-install it.
  • Step 2 – Under the ‘Choose Components’ screen during installation, select ‘Shell Extension’

FileZilla Drag And Drop To Windows Desktop Not Working

If the drag and drop feature doesn’t work after re-installing FileZilla, continue with step 3.

  • Step 3 – Launch command prompt and register the following .dll file to Windows Registry:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Filezilla FTP Client>regsvr32 fzshellext.dll
C:\Program Files (x86)\Filezilla FTP Client>regsvr32 fzshellext_64.dll

For those not using Windows 64-bit, register ‘fzshellext.dll’ and those using 64-bit windows should register ‘fzshellext_64.dll’
