Interesting last night on "NFL32" (ESPN Show) that both Chris Mortensen and Joh Clayton both said that they did not see anything wrong with the hit by Harrison.

Colt will be home sitting on his couch watching Desperate Housewifes and Dancing With The Stars reruns while eating Haagen Daas.

Interesting way to stop helmet to helmet, when a player is down from one of these illegal hits, both players involved in the H2H contact must be removed from the game and have the SCAT2 test administered immediately. This will make the offending players think twice about initiating that type of contact when he knows he may be out of the game for the 10 minute test, then possibly out the remainder of the game and/or following games with concussion like symptoms!!!!!!

If you play for the Browns, you should have your head examined regularly.

Before each game, Harrison should be required to run full speed into a cement post to warm up, and then give him the concussion test.

What can I say, when you want to win you want to play, and when your good your team want you to play too. So it goes something like what's your name, where are we now, do you know what day it is. do you think you can go back out. Mccoy says yes, and there he goes. It' kinda like when big ben broke his noseplaying against the ravens once and ben kept asking people on the side line if his nose looked crooked and everyone straight lied and said no your nose looks fine. When you could clearly see on TV that that HONKER was broke.OFF he went back in the game. I guess that's called taking one for the team. Clearly if mccoy was holding on to the ball long after the snaps, they knew that he was a GONNER!

I saw the hit, game was on, I was just barely watching, two plays later he's back, kinda surprising, ... then the camera catches his eyes calling the signals and whoa, I'm not a Dr. by a longshot, but, whoa, he was glazed over. That got my attention. Whoever Ok'd him to return must have been around in the old days, or drunk, or both. If he was a corporation they would have taked care of him.

In the game, Big Ben gets punished, and comes back. Can you imagine what people would be saying if Colt had not returned from that hit? Should he have come back? Absolutly not. However had he not people here would be ripping him a new one..

It was helmet to helmet, end of story, you can't do it, Harrison has a history of doing it, it's to protect players from future injuries that appear later in life, like memory loss....he deserves the fine, play by the rules.

Guys like Harrison need to be banned from the league. Football is a rough sport, but a guy like Harrison intends not just to want to tackle opposing quarterbacks, but to injure them. Perhaps the police should investigate this ignorant animal.

it's true football is a raw emotional contact sport. In saying that there are rules and what harrison did was in fact against the rules. I played foot ball in high school and the only legitimate hit was square in the chest with a face mask anything else was illegal. Harrison wasn't playing football he's head hunting and that isn't football at all.

For those claiming McCoy tucked the ball and is therefore fair game.....clearly ignores the fact that he threw the ball two (2) steps from Harrison hitting him, plenty of time for Harrison to pull up and avoid the hit all together.

Harrison is an idiot, he is a head hunter and he should have been ejected and suspended. 50,000 fines are nothing for these guys, fines should be in the 100,000s range. McCoy was out of the pocket, tucking the ball into his body, and running toward the LOS.

The NFL gives him multiple choices through these new rules where he can avoid the hit. Instead he tucked it, and showed run, and Harrison played that accordingly. At the last second he threw the ball, choosing to try and make a play rather than worry about his own health. That was HIS choice to make, not Harrison's. This wasn't a hit from the blindside he couldn't do anything about, but coming straight at him.

To me when he tucks that ball that falls under the same bit as when you see a QB scamper to the sideline, and when everyone pulls up, he tiptoes for a few more yards before stepping out. The next time he runs in that direction, you play the run and don't give him the benefit of the doubt and try your hardest to beat him to the sideline and blow him up.
