'Game of Thrones': First Season 2 Footage (Video)

HBO has debuted a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming second season of "Game of Thrones," and though the clip is spoiler-free, it does give viewers a first look at new "Thrones" characters.

Stephen Dillane's Stannis Baratheon, Carice van Houten's Melisandre and Natalie Dormer's Margaery are among the new characters playing (not so nicely) alongside Jon Snow, Catelynn, Arya and, of course, Tyrion (Emmy winner Peter Dinklage).

Check out the video preview below of "Thrones" series creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss talking about filming the 10-episode sophomore season, which premieres in April:

    I LOVE this show. Got the full series of books and am enjoying them also. April is toooooo far away! Hope they get the 3rd one filming MUCH sooner. Can't wait!!!!!!

    I'm going to watch it, but I'm going to be angry at them for killing off Ned Stark and following the book too closely. Death to the Lannisters. At least that inbred piece of trash Geoffry is going to get his. That will be worth it.

    I'm so disappointed to have to wait til April, but then again, the anticipation is delicious. I don't want to watch a show that goes on every week endlessly...it gets tiring. With the break I can now have something to look forward to instead of boring to.

    Quite a gap....it was years MANY years between the last two books but well worth the wait. As much as I would love to see another book released next year, I imagine we will have to wait and just enjoy seeing Martin's work made into the tv series

    Love the show! I just hope the next book comes out in the next year. There was quite a gap between the fourth and fifth book.
