Phineas Leahey, Member of the Lawyering Skills and Legal Writing Faculty, Passes Away After Struggle with Illness
We are sad to announce that Phineas Leahey, an Associate at Jones Day, has passed away after a courageous 16 month struggle with lung cancer. He was 37 years old and had never smoked. In his final months Phineas continued to work on the pro-bono case he had against Brooklyn College, including filing a writ of certiorari to the United States Supreme Court. During his time at Cardozo, he was a rigorous and popular teacher and valued colleague. More...

Professor Ellen Yaroshefsky Named to Governor Andrew Cuomo's Ethics Commission
The bipartisan commission is an independent monitor that will investigate corruption and help maintain integrity in state government, according to Governor Cuomo.
