(BreakPoint Blog) – I must say, I’m shocked. A historian by the name of David Starkey has given perhaps the most unanticipated response to London’s attrocious law banning pro-family Christian foster parents if they do not promise to present homosexuality positively. Why unanticipated? Because he is gay and an atheist. Homosexual activists and atheists have anything but a reputation of true…

Sunday Mass is Thanksgiving meal with Christ, says Cardinal O’Malley

Boston, Mass., Nov 24, 2011 / 09:16 am ( CNA/EWTN News ).- Weekly Mass attendance for Catholics should be a “commitment of love” like the celebration of Thanksgiving dinner, said Cardinal Seán P. O’Malley of Boston. “The Thanksgiving meal of our Catholic family occurs every Sunday,” said Cardinal O’Malley in a Nov. 20 pastoral letter on the importance of Sunday Mass. He observed that Americans are willing to endure traffic jams and crowded airports in order to share Thanksgiving dinner with the people they love and because their presence matters.“Our presence is a sign to each other of the gift and the importance of family in our lives,” he said.

By John Burger | Here we are at another Thanksgiving, that most American of feast days. For so many of us, it has come to mean food, family and football. Oh, and phenomenal savings — the next day, anyway. We are reminded to thank God for our many blessings. And then we indulge. I’ve never really thought about it, but Archbishop … …
