We need everyone's support emptygatezen.com The Heart Sutra is very popular among Mahayana Buddhists both for its brevity and depth of meaning. The Maha Prajna Paramita Hrdaya Sutra Avalokitesvara Bodhisattva when practicing deeply the Prajna Paramita perceives that all five skandhas are empty and is saved from all suffering and distress. Shariputra, form does not differ from emptiness, emptiness does not differ from form. That which is form is emptiness, that which is emptiness form. The same is true of feelings, perceptions, impulses, consciousness. Shariputra, all dharmas are marked with emptiness; they do not appear or disappear, are not tainted or pure, do not increase or decrease. Therefore, in emptiness no form, no feelings, perceptions, impulses, consciousness. No eyes, no ears, no nose, no tongue, no body, no mind; no color, no sound, no smell, no taste, no touch, no object of mind; no realm of eyes and so forth until no realm of mind consciousness. No ignorance and also no extinction of it, and so forth until no old age and death and also no extinction of them. No suffering, no origination, no stopping, no path, no cognition, also no attainment with nothing to attain. The Bodhisattva depends on Prajna Paramita and the mind is no hindrance; without any hindrance no fears exist. Far apart from every perverted ...

The Bodhisattva Avalokita, while moving in the deep course of Perfect Understanding, shed light on the five shandhas and found them equally empty. After this penetration, he overcame all pain. Listen, Shariputra, form is emptiness, emptiness is form, form does not differ from emptiness, emptiness does not differ from form. The same is true with feelings, perceptions, mental formations, and consciousness. Hear, Shariputra, all dharmas are marked with emptiness; they are neither produced nor destroyed, neither defiled nor immaculate, neither increasing nor decreasing. Therefore, in emptiness there is neither form, nor feeling, nor perception, nor mental formations, nor consciousness; no eye, or ear, or nose, or tongue, or body, or mind; no form, no sound, no smell, no taste, no touch, no object of mind; no realms of elements. (from eyes to mind-consciousness); no inter-dependent origins and no extinction of them (from ignorance to old age and death); no suffering, no origination of suffering, no extinction of suffering, no path; no understanding, no attainment. Because there is no attainment, the bodhisattvas, supported by the Perfection of Understanding, find no obstacles for their minds. Having no obstacles, they overcome fear, liberating themselves forever from illusion and realizing perfect Nirvana. All Buddhas in the past, present, and future, thanks to this perfect Understanding, arrive at full, right, and universal Enlightenment. Therefore, one should know that ...

Heart Sutra (Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya): Buddhist Chant of India
Heart Sutra (Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya): Buddhist Chant of India
The Heart Sutra- Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya-here in a rare, original Sanskrit rendering by classical Indian singer-Vidya Rao. The Heart Sutra was composed in the 1st century CE in India and was later transmitted and translated into Chinese and Tibetan. It is unusual to find a recording sung by a native Sanskrit speaker from India; Vidya Rao's is perhaps the only such recording available. This chant is part of a collection recorded by Siddhartha's Intent, an organization dedicated to reviving the wisdom traditions of India. www.siddharthasintent.org Set to pictures from the places in the Buddha Sakyamuni's life from the birth place in Lumbini, enlightenment in Bodhgaya and the Bodhi tree, sermons at Vulture's peak in Rajgir and Sarnath Stupa and death in Kushinagar. There are also views of Nalanda, Sanchi and Ajanta-Ellora.

梵文心經唸誦Heart Sutra Chanting in Sanskrit
梵文心經唸誦Heart Sutra Chanting in Sanskrit
PRAYING By this chanting presentation, Boutsulin Vihara is praying that the health of Mrs Hilde Barendrecht will recover soon! May this presentation reverberate the meritorious virtues of the Heart Sutra to the great hardship and miserable people in Japan caused by earthquake, tsunami and radioactive pollution! All will recover soon! 【THE MEANING OF CHANTING HEART SUTRA】 The Heart Sutra was chanted in Sanskrit by a practitioner at Boutsulin Vihara in accordance with Prajñāpāramitā Hṛdaya Sutram extracted from the CBETA (Chinese Buddhist Electronic Text Association), which was originally translated and written for the purpose of chanting, praying, contemplation and practice, into Chinese-Sanskrit corresponding sounds in Chinese characters by a Saint, St. Hsuan Chuang (602-664), a Buddhist monk/master in ...
