Time changes, so is the preference and liking of people. Prabhu understands that better which made him to start his second innings on roles with substance. He kick started his second innings with M.Raja's "Unakkum Enakkum Something Something" in the role of Trisha's Brother.
Grapevine is that, When his fellow colleagues refused to take up the role of Trisha's brother in Something Something, Prabhu took up the role and won accolades for his performance. His roles were memorable in Thamarabarani with Vishal, "Billa" with Ajith, "Kandhasamy" with Vikram, "Silambattam" with Silambarasan, Raavanan yet again with Vikram, Malai Malai with Arun, "Thillalangadi" with Jeyam Ravi, Thambikku Indha Ooru with Bharath, "Ayan" with Surya(which won Prabhu - Best Supporting Actor - Filmfare Award).

This ever charming actor celebrates his birthday on the New Year Eve, Yes, 31 December is his date of birth. Interestingly, Prabhu is welcoming the year 2011 with Sankaranthi release, his Debut Kannada film titled "Boss" with Darshan as the hero. Darshan performing Dual Role. Prabhu plays an Intelligent, Dashing Special Police Officer who is on hunt for Darshan.
Prabhu's schedule is busy for 2011 with already 8 Films in his kitty. Firt time, Fans will see Prabhu joining hands with Actor Vijay for the proposed Seeman directed Film "Pagalavan". The shoot of this movie starts in the Tamil Newyear day.
Remember, Prabhu is always a lucky comrade for top stars who were consistently delivering failures and their films with Prabhu, has always been a Hit. Ajith, Jeyam Ravi, Vishal, Simbu were all delivering failures and the films that had Prabhu featuring with them has given them a new lease of life. However, there is an exception like "Thambikku Indha Ooru" which did not do well with the audience of Class "A" City.

Kajal Agarwal (Hindi:काजल अगरवाल; born on 19 June 1985) is an Indian actress, who has appeared in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada films. She made her acting debut in Bollywood, and had her first huge commercial success at the box office in the Telugu movie Chandamama and in Tamil movie Saroja. She rose to prominence after her performance as Yuvarani Mitravinda Devi and Indira (Indu) in the 2009 Telugu film Magadheera which turned out to be her biggest Tollywood commercial success.
In the meantime, she made her debut in the Telugu film industry and played her first leading role in Teja’s Lakshmi Kalyanam alongside Kalyan Ram, which did not do well at the box office. Later that year, she appeared in the Krishna Vamsi-directed film Chandamama, which became her first major successul film.
In 2008, she had her first Tamil-language film release, which was Perarasu’s action entertainer Pazhani co-starring Bharath. Following this film, she had two more Tamil releases that year with Venkat Prabhu’s comedy-thriller Saroja, in which she did a guest appearance, and finally Bharathiraja’s investigative thriller Bommalattam. Although the former went on to become a commercial as well as a critical success, both films failed to boost her career as her roles were too insignificant. Both her Telugu releases that year, Pourudu and Aatadista opposite Sumanth and Nitin, respectively, neither received positive reviews nor were successul at the box office.
In 2009 she had four releases, three of which were in Telugu. Her only Tamil film that year, which was Saran’s Modhi Vilayadu, released first and garnered mixed reviews but poor box office returns. Next, she starred in Magadheera, in which she essayed double roles for the first time. The film received universal critical acclaim as did the lead actors.
Kajal, particularly, was praised for her portrayal of a princess, Yuvarani Mithravindha, in the film. The film was also commercially successful and broke several records, emerging as the highest-grossing Telugu film and as one of the biggest box office hits in India. Following Magadheera’s phenomenal success, Kajal became one of the most sought-after actresses in the Telugu film industry, catapulting her into the main foray of lead Telugu actresses.

Mani Ratnam (; born Gopalaratnam Subramaniam on 3 June 1956) is an Indian filmmaker, screenwriter and producer. His directorial debut was the Kannada film Pallavi Anu Pallavi starring Anil Kapoor in 1983. Directing landmark films such as Mouna Raagam (1986), Nayagan (1987), Anjali (1990), Thalapathi (1991), Iruvar (1997), Alaipayuthey (2000), Kannathil Muthamittal (2002), Yuva (2004), Guru (2007), and his "terrorism trilogy" consisting of Roja (1992), Bombay (1995) and Dil Se (1998), Ratnam is widely credited with having revolutionised the Tamil film industry and altering the profile of Indian cinema. Ratnam has won multiple National Film Awards, five Filmfare Awards (South), four Filmfare Awards (Hindi), and twelve international film festival awards. His Tamil movie Nayagan, Satyajit Ray's Apu trilogy and Guru Dutt's Pyaasa are the only Indian films that have appeared in TIME Magazine's All-Time 100 Greatest Movies. His film Roja was the only Indian film to feature in TIME Magazine's "10 Best Soundtracks" of all time.
Ratnam lives in Alwarpet, Chennai, where he runs his production company Madras Talkies.
In 1986, Mani finally attained commercial success in Tamil Nadu through the Tamil language romantic drama Mouna Ragam with Revathi and Mohan. The film told the story of the friction between a newly-wed couple, and remains famous to date as a relevant and realistic portrayal of romance among urban Tamils. Its score by Ilaiyaraaja became a huge success upon release. It was subsequently dubbed into Telugu under the same title and went to become a hit in Andhra Pradesh as well. Mani's status was elevated further a year later writing Nayagan, directing the versatile Tamil actor Kamal Hassan for the film, which went on to become a legendary success in the industry. Many Indian critics dubbed it as India's answer to the cult The Godfather. The film, which tells the story of an orphaned slum dweller and his rise to top of the Mumbai underworld hierarchy, was included in TIME Magazine's All-Time 100 Greatest Movies.
2007 saw Ratnam direct the Madras Talkies production Guru starring Abhishek Bachchan. It became one of 2007's biggest hits. In 2010 Ratnam worked on a big-budget bilingual being made in Tamil and Hindi. The films are titled Raavanan in Tamil and Raavan in Hindi. The Tamil version was dubbed into Telugu as Villain. The film released worldwide on June 18, 2010.
The film is loosely based on the Hindu epic "Ramayana" and happened over a period of 14 days where the character Beera kidnaps the wife of a cop to avenge his sister's death. The Tamil version received better reviews than the Hindi version, based mainly on the lead's performance. The Hindi version of the film received mostly negative reviews and was a failure at the box office. The film received critical acclaims in America,Europe and southern part of India. The NY times called the movie a "critics' pick".Bollywood reviewers overall rated the movie very poorly,Taran Adarsh said 'On the whole, RAAVAN is a king-sized disappointment, in terms of content' and Rajiv Masand said '...is a crushing bore of a film, a disappointment on virtually every count' while another reviewer Raja Sen commented 'It's profoundly sad to see a filmmaker of Ratnam's calibre reduced to this'. The Tamil version was declared a box office success. The contrasting response to the same film on the either side of the vindhyas is not surprising,as many films in the past, that have followed this trend. This can be attributed to different expectations and tastes of the audiences. Some reviewers (National Award Winning Baradwaj Rangan) found this to be Mani's best work thus far.
Mani Ratnam received the Glory to the Filmmaker! Award at the 67th Venice Film Festival on September 6, 2010. The ceremony was followed by a screening of Raavanan in Tamil. His wife, Suhasini Mani Ratnam and actor Vikram Kennedy were also present at the ceremony.
In 2011 Mani Ratnam will be directing his next film titled Ponniyin Selvan (Film) which is the screen adaptation of the famous Kalki Krishnamurthy's novel Ponniyin Selvan.

Occupation | Actor, Comedian |

Goundamani was initially a solo actor and then paired up with Senthil to form a comedy duo. Widely considered as Kollywood's Laurel and Hardy, Senthil and Goundamani have entertained people with their rib-tickling slapstick humour for more than two decades now. Goundamani has entertained two generations of Tamil audience with his unique style of comedy. His dialogues are woven with sarcasm and contempt and are often accompanied with impeccable timing and body language.
His most famous piece of comedy is the "Vazhaipazham" (Banana) scene with Senthil in the film Karagattakaran. His famous dialogue Arasiyalla ithellam saatharanamappa (meaning all these are usual in politics), from the movie Suriyan, later became one of his trademarks. He has also played the protagonist in 10 films including Raja Enga Raja and Pirandhaen Valarndhaen.
Some of his memorable movies are with leading actors such as Sathyaraj, Karthik, Rajinikanth, Arjun, Parthiban, Jayaram, Kamal Hassan, Vijay, Ajith Kumar, Sarath Kumar and Prabhu. In several Tamil films, he has even accompanied the lead actor in almost all of the scenes and in a few songs.
Early days in his career he had a memorable role in 16 Vayathinile as a sidekick to Rajinikanth's "Parattai" and famous for his dialogue "pattha vechutiye paratai". Later in early 80's he had a string of hits like Unnai Nan Santhithen, Vaidhegi Kathirundal, etc. after which his carrier slumped. His career revival in Karagatakkaran is attributed to comedians like Janakaraj.
His career peaked in the 90s and producers often required his services to make a hit Tamil film. He also has acted in several films with double-hero subjects like Ullathai Allitha along with Karthik and Unakaaga ellam unakaaga. His most recent film is Jagghubai starring Sarath Kumar.
