While the Commonwealth heads of government meet in Perth to wine, dine and network - this October 23rd forum organised by the Australian Greens will look at some of the ghosts haunting the gala dinner table.


Speakers include:


Frank Habineza, President of the Rwandan Greens and winner of Sweden's Democracy Prize, on political repression in recently joined Commonwealth member Rwanda.


Meena Krishnamoorthy on the Sri Lankan conflict, war crimes and the situation facing the Tamil people in Sri Lanka today.


Ulli (Helen) Corbett - co-founder of the Committee to Defend Black Rights and former executive officer of the Aboriginal Legal Service - on the rights and status of minority indigenous peoples in Commonwealth countries.
