We as a people are being forced to pay a debt that is not of our making. Our children’s futures are being sacrificed to bail out banks in Ireland, Germany, France, Britain and the United States. This is not sovereign debt. It was not borrowed by the Government to build schools or hospitals, or to develop our natural resources in a sustainable way. It is private and corporate debt, which the Government socialised, making it an illegitimate state debt that need not and should not be paid.
We are building a broad grassroots non-party political campaign of communities and individuals opposed to this crippling debt that has robbed the State of its sovereignty and democracy.
